well if the enclosure is too small they'll grow slower, and for some huge turtles like snapping turtle will keep growing till it cant move, and its totally a wrong thing to do

u may consider common musk turtles, they grow to about 10cm only, probably the smallest turtle u can find in pet store

yes when they are still baby, it will slow down after they reached certain size

it depends on the species, nutrition, size of enclosure, temp...etc

wild turtles grow slower than captives but the growth rate is more stable, while captives' may vary base on how they live in captivity

i gave my small map turtle like small baby guppy's when he was like only about 2 inches :D and he's freaking evil he grabs them and lets theyr eyes and brain explode out and eats in in little pieces man he's Evil :P

I'll recommend u to get a more powerful filter, like canister filter

turtles make a lot of pollution, a filter is essential usless u want to do water change every 2 days

I never try turkey, I think they are pretty hard for turtles to tear apart

Banana...its more suitable for box turtles and tortoises, u can give a little to aquatic turtles tho, but they might wont eat it

You can always try to give veges to your turtles, but most baby aquatic turtles are carnivorous, they'll turn to polyphagia when they grow up, only a few turtles are vegetarians, like fly river turtle

Basking dock - A floating platform for turtles to bask

5.0UVB light bulb - UVB is a kind of ultraviolet ray, necessary for turtles, 5.0=5% of UVB

60w spot light - u can get it from hardware store, w=watt, provide heat when turtles are basking, UVB needs to work with that

300w heater - aquarium heater, safest way to keep water warm in winter

Google these stuff and visit ATP turtle forum to learn more about equipments for turtles=]

It depends on wt kind of turtles u've got

Some of them are vegetarians, but most of them eat all flesh water creatures, including their own kind, so u don wanna put different sizes of turtles together

Also, turtles got more poops than fish, so the filter's flowrate has to be at least 10 time the tank volume per hour

Wt kind of turtles and how big are they? If u got red eared sliders, 2 years old should be 15+cm (if the container is too small they'll grow slower), a 60-70gal tank is good enough for now for 4 turtles

U'll need a big canister filter or trickle filter, 1000+l/h flowrate, also u need basking dock, a 5.0UVB light bulb and a 60w spot light, a 300w heater(maybe u need 2), just go to the nearby aquarium, they'll tell u wt u need

yes, u have to rinse the chicken first and better peel off the fat and skin

and i never try dead fish, coz they may bring disease

but if the turtles sizes are very different, the bigger one may attack the others
