Love this commercial. Amazing and truthful. Maybe not for all parents, but for many. Anyway, if you want the kids home all the time, there's always home-schooling; they never have to leave home, never, ever. My son hated the commercial when he was in school, and I was sad to see him go back, (but within a day he was overjoyed to be back with all his friends to talk about their summer vacations), but the commercial is pure genius, you have to admit.

@shadowallstar9 That's why I hate why so many seasonal businesses cut back or even close places in late August and September, which in my opinion has better weather the Dog Days (except for water-themed activities). If you don't have kids, it's a great time to vacation, but that theme park may be closed, especially on weekdays, and certain summer outdoor events may be gone. And Staples is already running BTS ads on Youtube.

To me, the following weekend is when you first start seeing those back-to-school items, and the fall clothes start to appear in clothing stores.
