I totally agree with you. This tryp was a sporadic tryp. We are not a fishing company and have not protocols probably this is the reason of why we forgot the gaf on our first day of the tryp.

We realese the fish even with out a gaf by hand, and we put on risk by the lure but we released, we were planing to cut the line but if we do that the fish die so first we planed to use the anchor as a gaf. All because was no gaf on board.

When you lip gaff them like that you tear that membrane under their lower jaw and they can't feed very well do to the fact they are suction feeders. Some of those fish will die. That method of landing them is old school and a big no no in the sportfishing community here in south Florida.

Excelente Video!!!... I do Sports Fishing And Hunting Outfitting here in Nicaragua fishing in the San Juan is great but believe me Tarpon are almost twice as big in the Caribbean around pearl Lagoon it's just a longer trip.... Liked the video very much!!!
