Nice looking rig, guys. St. Paul is a combination FD. Most volunteers drive to the scene unless they pass the Cooper Road firehouse. The SCBA's on the passenger (sidewalk) side are for volunteers who may drive to the scene and need to pack up. All St. Paul engines are set up like this. Will it fit in WAFH?
I'm not sure if they still run calls this way buy they have paid drivers and the vol. drive to the scene. Plus if it's not the base engine the driver needs a pack.
there will never be a truck with more ppl than scba, in hamlin we have a truck that seats 6 in the rear 4 with packs and 2 jumpseats, if ur in a jumpseat u wait til ur on scene get out and grab a pack out of the side compartment
@usmarines911 i can sit here and pretend to know why but it would all depend on the dept. It might depend on what a dept mostly responds to as to what they put on their trucks. In my dept we have a engine cab that holds 8 and has 4 scbas in it. Another engine cab in our dept has 8 seats with 8scbas...it always varies.
that is for if you get a full truck of 6 but still have ppl going straight to the scene, so when the truck gets there they can grab a pack out of the compartment instead of having a qualified interior acting as an exterior when hes needed inside
what a beauty.
