Hope you guys can put in 'proper' water reflections and more oceanic movement, waves, whitecaps, breaks along the shoreline.

Most every game I've seen have such horrible water looking affects that it makes the game world look dead IMO. Looks like a great start, keep up the good work!

Wow! .... very impressive ... actually looks even better than "Flight Simulator X" water and that is specifically only an Earth environment sim (although several years old now).

These graphics are SO awesome!!! This engine would be capable of graphics as good as Riven! (which uses pre-rendered images, so they have extremely awesome stuff)

I read that they plan/plans was to make this game mmorpg :/ I like to play in single player but games like mmorpg is made for instant money income so I will not pay every month to play any game. The latest patch for the ICP contains the server application. That means you can run the server and the client on your own PC and use "localhost" in the IP address to connect.

Atmospheric variation?

I feel it is crucial to have viscosity play a integral role in the ∞ engine.

I want to submerge... In water, atmosphere, gas torus', Star's, Nebulae...

That is my opinion as an Aviation Structural Mechanic, a Gamer, a Scientist, and a Human.

I'm awaiting "frill".

Engine exhaust, blowing in the trees... gravity generators & tractors, deforming planetary geometry.

This game begs to defy conventions.

Compromises will now have to be made, but we will persist.

No, Infinity is a space craft simulator. You can only explore if you are in a vehicle. Same as you cannot get out of your plane in a flight simulator.

To do this all for free and give up your time and effort to make, to put it quite frankly, a game that maybe never made again in terms of effot, dedication and overall expertise for no cost for those who will be playing it. The graphics, the engine, the seamless planetary entrance and the intuative ship control that brings memories of freelancer flooding back to me. So far, so good. Very good infact. @TheZackarios I don't think you understand, I've been following this from the off and the devs are not being paid by some big time games company, they are doing it for free in terms of development. They are doing this on top of their own jobs.

And with regards to actually playing the game, the devs are aiming for there to be a free multiplayer with more limited functions, and a paid one for the full experience. But that's not what I was talking about in the first place.

This is the sort of game I dreamed of. Galaxies of worlds to explore, with the ability to fly freely through it all with NO loading scenes, as you watch the weird and wonderful animals stroll about and flora grow on the planets, and examine nebula and witness supernovas in space. And this, my friends is it. Apart from one thing.

I'd love to see some animals in there, even if they reuse models for other planets. But who am I to complain? This game is amzing in itself!

MMORPG? Don't suppose you have any plans for people running around on the ground. Kinda like StarWars galaxies but with a seamless transition. Imagine getting shot down on a trading mission and are forced to crash land on a remote planet and you have to get a message out to your Clan. Meanwhile the guys who shot you down and are comming to inspect your vessal for loot. And on this planet the surface is covered with all sorts of wild life... Perhaps you can make it to a nearby settlement...

Hmm, are the edges of the water just faded or something? In games where they do that (Warcraft 3, for instance), if you look at the edge at the right angle you can see everything underneath the water.

Yes the edge of the water does appear to fade, thats because you can see the landscape under the water at the edges. We actually have a more recent prototype where there is foam added to the surface of the water next to the coast. It looks a lot better that way.
