I believe this prophecy was given several times even when the economy was okay. Instead of making negative comments pray and ask God what he would have u to do.  I would not be quick to call someone a false prophet unless they are.

For those proclaiming false, it is easy to predict it when things are bad, but this wasn't the case. This is the problem with people and prophecies today:

When things are going good and someone says something bad, he is not true because of the word given. Jeremiah was the same way.

When this was given, where were the critics? Hindsight is 20/20, eh?
