its an old roller coaster. Especially for a wooden coaster its age, running two trains would be particularly stressful on the track.

The reason is has to do with staffing and the popularity of the ride.

Also during the off season one of the two track are going though rehab.

Collosus is in ok condition for its age, but everything about it needs a complete makeover. not just any one side, but everything right down to every board. The ride doesnt need to be torn down, but i fear in the near future it might be :(

They don't run both sides on Colossus because not enough people get in the lines because people think that Colossus is bumpy. Not like 30 years ago when both lines were packed with people when Colossus first opened.
