I am trying a bunch of different diapers on my son right now who is about to be potty trained and I'm due in a few months with our first girl. I found this video looking for different options for prefolds and am trying out the twist the other options didnt seem like they wraped around him enough. So the twist is working great! He seems so comfy I wish he fit the news paper fold better but i didn't feel it wraped around enough he is not at all a chunky baby he is only a size one snappy.
Great video. However, I've read in several places that you should NOT tuck the prefold diaper into the flap in the front of the waterproof cover. The flap is there to help keep the cover waterproof where the velco stitching holes are. See the 2nd question on the Sales and Support question on Thirsties FAQ page.
Great video thank you! We've just been using the trifold on our newborn but he is outgrowing the newborn size CDs so it is great to see the different folds we can use on the regular size CDs. They are prepping in the wash right now! :)
I just got my indian prefolds from registry and they seem a bit big to use on newborn but I think newspaper style will work great and I don't have to exchange them for smaller size :)
great demo! i'm definitely sending this link to my friend who's a new mum. this makes the whole concept of cloth diapering a bit less daunting. thanks again for a great demo!
Wow! I was wondering just how exactly a snappi worked, thanks for the demo! I was wondering what the benefits are for each fold? Right now my LO is on disposable diapers but he has this rash that's been around for quite some time.... I've heard that disposable diapers get the most leaks, but he hasn't had any leaks in a very long time... From what I can see, it looks like the angel hold might be most useful one.
Thank you for the video about how to use prefolds, I saw at lest one new way I for sure will try on my son tomorrow and see how it works. I think you did a very good job of explaining how to make and put on the diaper. Again great video always learning something new.
It does look like that. We used it a handful of times on my daughter and even though she never seemed to find it uncomfortable I never liked it so much. BUT some people swear by it to keep in poo.
Some people do still use diaper pins. Personally, I have never tried them but I definitely know people do use them. They would go on the sides, instead of the snappi. :)
hi nice video. where did you buy those prefold from. I am new mom and looking for cloth diapering. Just want to know where can i buy cloth diapers(prefolds u used in video) from.
Great video! Which fold do you favor the most? I know it's probably dependant on each individual baby, but I'm just wondering what works best for you? Thanks!
thank you!

I actually fold mine "inside out," so that when poop gets on it, it's not on the edges - it's all on that center strip and easier to get off.

Is it just me, or does that twist look like it would be terribly uncomfortable to the baby? It looks like it would feel all lumpy.

@clothmama I was thinking the same thing. And that iurine may run onto the part that is thinner.

where did you get that cover?
Veror0xursox 2 years ago
It is a Thirsties cover - you can get them at most cloth diaper shops. I like Kelly's Closet. There is link to them on my site.

@Veror0xursox diapers.com sells them as well
