  • nice boat, but I would have make sealed storage lockers in the front, then you can take gear with you if you wanted to go shore camping, ect.

  • what timber is constructed

  • @vixaspaphos marine grade 3mm ply

  • is she susceptible to crosswinds when paddling her?

  • @skittification i wouldn't know, I built it and used it twice, but it works good, I would add a rudder system for long trips like and sea kayak.

  • Nice Boat! All you need is a Eskimo Girl in the front seat. LOL

  • beautiful kayak, gratz on the build

  • Rough and ready just like my build. Im only up to the hull of my 17 ft yak i'm about to glass it but i'm glad i was a bit neater than you that epoxy is some hard stuff and sanding off excess is costly time consuming hard work, well done

  • i dont understand where the zip ties went?

  • @asssface2000 You cut them off after glueing the seams. Then fill the holes with filler. After glassing the hull, there is no issue with them causing any weak spots or leakage.

  • well done

  • Wonderful build! Looks amazing. What was the total build cost?

  • Fantastic, I'm just about to start a 17 ft sea kayak.

Its always good when people take the time to take photos of the build and then share them.

    Cheers

    Mike

  • Awesome job! All you need now is a pair of 300HP Dorado's on the back, save all that exercise stuff.

  • I never thought for a second we were going to sink. :) Nicely done
