  • Nothing outlives a Mercedes diesel.

  • euro-4?

  • @TheArcanite At least...

  • i hope you change the "oil"

  • I really don't get how people can put away cars.

  • Comment removed

  • It would run another 1.4 Million without problems!

  • This is what people should see when they bash diesels and stick to their primitive gasoline money pits. 465k 98 TDI FTW!

  • lol why do ur cars sit so much man

  • thats how a man starts his car

  • 7 year old diesel in the tank, too?

  • @batlin Yes, but I put a little in there before starting, because I didn't know if somebody had stole the diesel from the tank while it sat...

  • @batlin Diesel can stand for 20 years or more and you can still run it, its not like gasoline that loses octane over the years.

  • @theunknown2142 Cool, I didn't know that :)

  • @theunknown2142 That's not true at all.

  • These cars last forever. You just can't beat a Mecedes engine. Especially their diesels.

  • of course it will start! it"s a mercedes, if not, something really bad happend..

  • IT LIVESSSSSSS

  • how did you manage to put tranny on drive with no keys?

  • @Gazoopl On the early w124 models, before 1990, you can select the gears without having the ignition on and depressing the brake pedal.

  • @kiarra00 aaaw ok, didn't know that thank you ;)

  • @Gazoopl you know the ignition switch is just like a light button :D

  • thats badass thats almost 900k miles!!! diesel engines will run forever!!!! I was in a semi while working for mclanes company delievering grocerys to walmart and seen 1m miles before!!

  • in answer to your question at begining, yes it will start!

  • almost new

  • how the FUCK did u tryed to turn the engine on by a wire and a button?what was that?

  • @cyrusthevrus the car sat for 7 years and we lost the key, so I had to hook up a wire to the glow plugs and starter to get it started.

  • seafoam it seafoam it plz

  • engine is now death :( next time first release oil !!!!!!!! pour new oil and new filter, the middle mark on the gauge remove injectors and exchanges diesel filter

then infuse the kerosine in to each cylinder cca 0,5dcl the next day, rotate the engine by hand then repeat procedure with kerosene next day Start the engine without injections then insert the injectors and all get involved, bring a new diesel and startremember to change the fuel, Diesel vs kerosene around 70:1,

    for cleaning injectors

  • Nice mercedes. :D Personal i don't like diesel, but if i'm getting one it will be mercedes!

  • This car really dead ...R.I.P mercedes 300 D !

  • R.I.P mercedes 300 D !

  • can I have the headlights out of it?

  • @DeathMetalSKUNK the car is long gone, but both headlights were bad to.

  • @kiarra00 oh you should see mine there worst

  • This is a supercar it must really like you for starting up! Threat it with car give it some new dieselfuel and fluids. And drive it for 60miles or so, Me and the car will be very grathefull (<-- how do you spell that word?) if you do that

  • I don't know why, but im afraid of the exhaust! :(

  • My opinion: Best car and best engine ever made! also the 250D is one of the best engines Mercedes have made :-)

  • @Little john enterprize A diesel engine a last forever compared to a gas, and no matter how old they get they sound better then any junked up gas engine.

  • om 616, 617, and 603..... good, better, best!

  • @BmxDieseldude I dissagree, I think the 617 is better than the newer 6 cylinder 603, because the 603 has an aluminium head that are known for cracking (specially on turbo models), they often get leaks around the prechambers, valvelifters go bad, bad belt tighteners etc. The 603 is a great engine compared to other engines, but I just think the 617 is better, although it's older and less modern

  • @BmxDieseldude And 605? I got one.

  • it shows what we can do as humans and build amazing engines like that. Prob the best diesel engine overall ive been behind the wheel of and the strongest. I dont miss the car as such but i miss that unit

  • 1:16 my first thought "he drove it against a red lamppost"

  • @TheMercedes300d It was a 1987. Piston rings were bad, so it used oil, smoked bad and was hard to start in cold weather. The engine was never opened, so I don't know if more was wrong.

  • 4 words come to mind, what a fucking champion!

  • RESPECT the MIGHTY MERC....;)

  • @tija5 MERC means cool classis : MERCURY !

  • w124 best car ever built

  • German enigeering

  • Sounds like you're loosing compression on one cylinder through a glow plug or injector or something. Plus without the key on the engine will only idle at 500 rpm. the computer is what holds the idle at 630. That it stalled after you revved it up is rather normal... with so many miles on the injection pump the fuel rack is worn a bit, which makes the governor slow to react and "catch" before the motor stalls.

  • 1million miles! u should clean the motor

  • BENZ POWER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • 11,000th view. :D

  • German quality! great man!! one moment i thought it died xD

  • amaizing..

    really amaizing

  • Thats impressive

  • awesome!!!

  • den här såg faktiskt fin ut! min farfar har en 230E -88 som stog i 3 år men den var grönfläckig av alla alger.. men starta gjorde den och gick bra också! har videor även på den! :)

  • Keep that car alive!

  • 1.4 million kilometers is 869,919 miles - good ol mercedes

  • fucking strong

    turbocharged ? (i think not)

    ?HP

  • @boilingpoint2 it's not turbocharged, and it has 113HP

  • @kiarra00 yeah...and a volvo 740 has 150 hp stock

  • @simcaP60fan What volvo 740 has 150hp stock? That depends on what engine it has! the B230A has 112hp, the B230K has 117Hp, 230F has 116, 230E has 136 etc. The turbo models has more, like B230FT has 165hp.

  • @kiarra00 b234f 16v

  • @kiarra00 If its a 1987 it actually got 109 hp, it wasnt before february 1989 they got 113 hp, well.. not a huge difference, but its true :)

Mine 1995 E250 Diesel got 113 hp, but its the new 20v engine.. :)

  • @xpsghawkx Yes, you are right. Thanks for the information

  • @kiarra00 Great car btw.. you still have it?

  • @xpsghawkx No, it's been used for parts and scrapped, it had way to much rust to become road legal

  • @kiarra00 Ahh ok, mine got alot of rust to.. bought it overpriced.. but its hope! It's not worth a full bodypaint at a paintshop, so im gonna paint it myself MATT BLACK, Mercedes Stealth! :P Gonna post another vid of it when its finished.. now i just got a little start up plus idle vid.. :)

  • oil rigs is shot in the beast!!! but u will always get great compression out of it! thanks to the 3 compression rings!!!

  • this is german quality

  • 1.4 million km is alot of oil changes

  • For how many miles it had its not even smoking to bad! could even be an injector! Just amazing!

  • @CVRealMan It's not smoking that bad, but it smokes all the time, it uses a lot of oil and it's very hard to start in the winters, it's probably worn piston rings, but it's a very good runner considering the milage that's for sure!

  • Good Ohio car.

  • Almost a million miles with the same engine!? Mercedes-Benz SHOULD buy it back from you after all this!

    It's no longer a car. It's a LIVING LEGEND!

  • Damn 7 years and it started like that ? holy crap that started good especially for all those KM's on it !

  • @1972FordF150 Yeah, that's German quality for ya! Although, stuff from Britain used to be pretty well-made too. But we don't build anything now!! :(

  • @MrMoterKid Yup lol

  • @MrMoterKid triumph motorbikes are good build quality nowadays ;)

  • GEEZ!!!!; 1,4 million kilometers!!!!! now thats A LOT!!! of driving!!! and for that thing to even start at all is amazing let alone having possibly one bad cylinder!!! thats amazing for sitting 7 years!!!! cool deal!!! :)

  • Nice man! Thats awesome!!! A deisel car would be bad ass!

  • no auto glow plugs? no keys?

  • @naterade21 keys were lost over the years, so I wired up a wire directly to the glowplugs and starter, but the steering lock is still on.

  • jayzuz thats a lot of kms lol

  • wow. started great. was that blow by or and exaust leak when i saw some smoke comming from the drivers side of the engine? very dependable cars. sounded like a dead cylinder, but u cant blame it for having that many k on it. 5 stars!

  • @racindeere65 the exhaust was a leak. You're right about the dead cylinder, I think it was a valve not keeping up and closing properly, it stalled when I reved it up, and it had that sound, but it ran better after some time

  • reminds me of my dad's diesel Escort.

  • wow probly all City Km to eh

  • This one get five stars. Only becuse i love diesel.

  • @floodedcar123 why you love diesel ?? when diesel engine gets old he sounds like an old mama having sex

  • WOW that started like it was just running last week!

  • @redneckbryon yeah, I didn't belive it either, I thougt it had to crank some to get diesel to the pump, but the diesel was probably still in the lines, even after 7 years. Amazing!

  • @kiarra00 well, diesel stays good for 50+ years, and if you have constant pressure, ofcourse it will stay in the lines.

  • wow that thing sounds tired, but you can't blame it when its been used as much as that.

  • if you lived in canada thing would be great for davesfarm since its so worn out

  • @30GB yeah, I would love to see an old mercedes diesel @ davesfarm, they're pretty slow, but very solid.
