The diving is why I'm not a bigger European Football fan. Growing up in Canada as a hockey fan diving was viewed as poor-sportsmanship and vehemently frowned upon. It seems in European Football it is now an accepted part of the game that often decides the outcome of matches.

I dont know what country you're from, but in America FOOTBALL is played with big guys in padding, and line-ups. It may sound the same, but this is Futbol (as they say it in every other country).
So next time you title a video, make sure to use the right noun. Either make it Futbol (the spanish way) or Soccer so people know what it REALLY is.

I just watched the New Zealand and Italy game, after NZ took the lead the refs and Italian players began their party tricks. I saw numerous offsides not called and dives from the Italians. @CaptainInsano841 it does have the potential to be a great game, but is ruined by the rampant amount of money and the poorly educated level of many players. Diving is almost seen as acceptable now. I play rugby and if people are rolling around on the floor in agony then its serious.

@trigga1uk I completely agree - the rampant diving, disrespect shown to the referees (who have an impossible job with the little support they are given and the sheer amount of cheating) and the ridiculous amount of money given to average players whom, as you say, are often poorly educated have turned me off the sport completely. The issue is that controversy is the only thing making football an interesting sport - and that's not a good thing - it's lost any sense of identity.

@hellomotobleh So, you don't think diving is a big draw back of soccer? There's a reason is doesn't sell in the USA and Canada. This is a men's game, these people who dive are not men. It does ruin the game, when people think soccer/football they associate it with diving. Just like the world associates hockey with severe violence. Which is ruining hockey, fights and hits are acceptable but when you have players head hunting it ruins the game. Just like diving does with soccer.
