According to Duane, a dream version of Jimi Hendrix showed Duane this melody in a motel bathroom. Was Duane dreaming? Or was he actually in the presence of God?
@rshfn44 Actually, the lyrics were written by Clapton and Whitlock, and the entire piano part was composed by Jim Gordon. Then Duane came and added the harmonic part oh the whole song with his slide.
most unreal part is dude didnt even make 25
you CANT have this much grace as a musician that young
not unless your soul had been around longer

I'm pretty sure this is Clapton, too? Is it the cut from Eat a Peach?
jyuzynko 4 months ago
@jyuzynko This is the last track on Eat a Peach. Duane is playing lead on this track and Dickey Betts is playing rhythm.

The most trancendent artist ever to make a Dobro sing, on his own composition. Skydog, playing the lovely, eloquent, "Little Martha".

@arweiss100 Duane has no superiors on electric slide. However, Jerry Douglas is by far the best Dobro player to ever walk the planet..
