Bowmaster-Excellent for bossing, not so great at mobbing (except for ulimate inferno, but that isn't that great)

Marksman-Amazing at mobbing because of piercing arrow and blizzard, and okay at bossing now because they added Ultimate Strafe (Fires 6 arrows instead of 4)

IMO Marksman is better because all you do from level 110-150 is grind at LHC, which is better for Marksmen in comparrison to bowmasters which only have single mob skills.

But it all comes down to how funded the player is.

@drumonjt Lol, that won't matter. After the giant revamp patch (or Big Bang) Crossbowers will get ultimate strafe (which completely replaces strafe), plus Snipe (now with a 5 sec cool down) that gives them the highest DPM of any class at bossing (3 Mil +).

have you seen the "snipe" skill? when maxed, it does AT LEAST 500k dmg.

although i have to say bowmasters are really good for bosses and attack EXTREMELY fast, but marksman are way better for mobs

Sniper is a lot better.

Marksman are so underrated,

A Marksman zakum run is also faster

Marksman end up being better then Bowmaster. Bowmaster is better for boss soloing while Marksman take the cake for using mobs.

Now there's been an update making snipe's cooldown 4 seconds and the pierce time to charge is 1 second. In some maplestory servers they changed the damage cap to 200 k cause the damage was too godly. So snipe is pretty much 200 000 dmg at maxed ( kms).

So think of it 200 k dmg, 3 starfes, then another 200 k dmg. 400 k from snipe and then 180~200k from strafe.

Im also a little sad xbowman dont really have a rival. Bowmasters are always pinned vs NLs and corsairs, but marksman just kinda are on there own cuz they dont get a new solo monster attack in 4th job, they just get new mobs ones which is unlike any other ranged character, i kinda want them to have a rival so we can help them against their rival and they can help us boast and laugh at NLs who still act like archers are all noobs and they are still "better"
