  • isn't this a toy?

  • I nee your help.. how do you did that? it's 4 school. ;)

  • Its Hydrophobic sand. Its supposed to keep from getting wet. If you look through a clear container you will see a thin layer of air around the sand.

  • they made this into a toy in Sweden...

  • who needs this anyway, wat is it gonna b 4?dumb though

  • i know how they do it.

you just get regular clean sand some silicone sealant and mix it all up or sumthing like oil to coat the sand an thats how it works

then it looks like regular sand dry but just like wet sand sticks together on land dry sands under water is trying to get rid of all the water molecules and goes into whatever shape it can.

and yes you can make sand castles children lol.

  • At least if this gets on your butt you can just brush it off...genius.

But you can't build a sandcastle!? Fail.

  • OH MY GOD IT ALWAYS STAYS DRY!!!!!!!!

hahaha they've been selling that stuff in toy shops for about 5 years now.

  • i have some at my house.. lol

  • Water is polar. The sand is nonpolar. Therefore it wont get wet.

THIS IS EXTREMELY OLD NEWS. I remember seeing this advertise on tv when I was 14ish. Im now 18.

  • so sand at the beach is polar?

  • So sand at the beach is polar?

  • yes

  • you are an idiot polar and nonpolar combine so what your saying is that the sand does get wet. you are 18 but you should take a science class.

  • Damn, I need dirt that never gets wet.

  • Well, I suppose that this is cool. I don't know what use never-wet sand would be, but it's cool that someone invented it anyway.

  • i could be useful in playground i guess kids can't trow sand balls at each other only sand that goes in the eye and hurts them really really bad.....i mean it could be used for pretty looks for houses

  • like my wife

  • I think I'm the only one to get this....you are hilarious...sorry you have that problem...I smell a divorce coming...

  • you are so very right. we came to that conclusion (divorce) yesterday.

  • That is pretty awesome, except for the large part on the water surface thats wet :(

  • cool stuff - why doesn't it get wet:

  • wow! that's soo cool

  • i think thats really cool

  • SMEXY.

  • Wow i must saw thats good for alot of things hmmm like nothing

  • Cute.

So basically it's just like your comment. ^.^

  • i already saw it it is boring!plus i have like tons

  • hi grup etken listen please thanks

  • hooray for something invented three decades ago. In the next video, a round stone that can roll.

  • It's a revolution! Amazing! Next I bet we will see a magical box that heats food. Laugh at me now, but you'll see.

  • If you could melt it into waterproof glass that'd be awesome for windshields

  • Hmmm . . .

  • wow!! glass that's water-proof!! nothing less than a technological miracle!!

  • It would still bead on the window. After heat is applied to the sand, the carbon components which give this sand its unique characteristic will disappear.

  • who cares? the point is he's talking shizzle

  • lol Phazonsouffle

  • weird

  • anyone remember this stuff from about 25 years ago? it came in different colours and was in the weird shaped bottles, bit like a genie lamp type thing. thanks for the flashbacks.

  • Yepep. I remember it, it was marketed as "magic sand". Maybe it will come back like Silly Putty does and be entertaining and nostalgic for all of five minutes before the kids eat it.
