@xaiomanga the metroid who saved her in super metroid against mother brain, you can search for the video,its the last boss in that game and its explained at the begininng of the video. she calls it baby cuz, it was the last metroid in the galaxy, and samus find it when it was a baby, her mission was to destroy it, but it was inofensive and she let it live, then ridley stole it from the ceres colony, and it grows bigger than a normal metroid, and thats why he is a super metroid

Why did the metroid try to save her D:? And why was samus all sad when it died because in metroid prime they were enemies?..( forgive me if i should know thats the only metroid game i have).

The metroid that saved her is the last of the species as of the end of Metroid 2 - it believed Samus was its mother, and so it saved her when she was about to be killed. To some degree, Samus returned that feeling. Given that she saw the creature literally EXPLODE to death, she should be much, MUCH angrier than the voice actress makes her sound in the opening scene.

@meboss97 maybe im a little bit too nit picky when it comes to this, but I just really didn't like this particular voice acting in this game. First, every metroid game has had NO voices you could have imagined her voice to be anything. now her voice HAS to be THAT for EVERY GAME NOW. And if they make a movie, its gonna be even LESS like the game. Plus she sounds kind of unintelligent, and her voice is very UNLIKE the sexy girl with the nice body we've seen over the years. it just bothers me.

It bothers anyone else with even a vague grasp on how voice acting should sound, too. The VA they got for Samus is BAD. Just, bad beyond any reasonable excuse. Unless she had a script with literally NO context for the lines, there's no reason at all she should have sounded that vacuous/monotone. The sheer FAILURE on her part to live up to what that first scene demanded should have seen her fired and replaced if the vocal director had even the slightest bit of skill themselves.

I always pictured Samus as a kind of female Dirty Harry, but nooo.

I can't help but picture her voice rueful/sarcastic/bitter most of the time. Not irritatingly so, just...the kind of *worn* tone that would justify a line like "my tragic past". Seriously, take a character who speaks like that, plus the ways she fights in this game, THEN give her a scene where she outright breaks down. PROPERLY, not the way they do it in Other M. Picture the power that kind of scene would have.

well, I hate to sound negative but I clicked on this video to see if other M was worth buying, and from what I've seen so far it doesnt seem like my kind of game :( but I'll keep watching the rest of the videos and see if I change my mind. I love the prime series though, sad it ended. I hope nintendo decides to make more first person metroid games, because metroid is in sort of a decline. just throwing it out there.

The only time it was really in decline was after Super Metroid, since the original developed, or someone important to the series, I'm not completely sure who, died. That's why there were no metroid games on the N64 or GBC.
