There is one thing a lot of people are missing and that is the shortage of various important resources that will happen and the fight over them including clean water and oil. In addition to that is the negative effects of the additional load on the environment. Change is coming, but there is going to be some real negative effects of an excessive population on a finite amount of resources.

China and India constitute almost 40% of the population of the world! of course they will be producting nearly 50% of the worlds gdp! it's merely equalizing the horrible mess of inequality that existed for these countries. USA constitutes only 5% of the worlds pop yet ranks 1 or 2 in World GDP. If i had money to invest YOU BET I WOULD INVEST IN INDIAN OR CHINESE COMANIES!
