granted, in 1995 i was more into the auto era: I do remember reading about this scene in a auto magazine. Both cars where a fine piece. Reason Michael Bay choice these 2 cars because they where so close in specs. It was a 93 Porsche 911 Turbo II 3.6. Basically, the same 0-60 and top speed of the 94. Top speed of the 911 at the 165-170mph era. The Cobra was a old AC Superblower 0-60 at 4.2, top speed at 155-170mph.

I love these idiots who think the AC cobra is an amazing car - it's ok, with the SOHC 427, but even so, it's so limited by the gearing - it's only good for 160mph. As for the brakes - forget it, they'll stop you... once. Saything that though I'm sure that has some monster 6pot setup or similar. The RUF 964 Turbo would still destroy it, barely worth talking about it, anyone who says otherwise is just jizzing their pants over the american muscle - which I admit is nice, but I'll take a 911 anyday

I am a huge Porsche fan. With the said I have been in a Cobra kit car well done with a real deal 427 SOHC motor, what an animal I beleive he spent 30 grand or so on the motor alone. It probably isnt the faster car compared to the Porsche, but the Cobra with a real 427 SOHC feels like it could beat anything. I have never felt a faster car..

it's just the feeling, I know what you mean, my old redtop felt really fast, but it wasn't that quick. where as my M3 sometimes feels slower than it is, you look down and are supprised at what speed you're doing. Depends how the car's built really.

This is a 1993 but designated as a 1994 only 911 Turbo 3.6 (964, some call it 965). Its the last Rear Wheel Drive Turbo Air Cooled 911 produced. Bad Ass Car and one of my favorite Porsche's of all time.

ac cobras are one of 5 cars on the planet that go from 0 to 160 to 0 again in 13 seconds, and it was built in the 60s. only one of those cars are porsches and it damn sure isnt a 911 turbo. thanks for playing tho. there are videos of ac cobra's eating ford gt's that are twin turbos (whose numbes are well under 90% of todays porsches)

i didn't find any tt gt's vs cobra's vids. u c this scene from the movie is not about going from 0 to 160 and back again it's more about top end speed. cobra does not have a lot of weight to lug around so it has ridiculous acceleration and stops very well for the same reason, but i believe that it would struggle at higher speeds watch the beginning of the movie. it's possible to draw conclusions from it that this model is the turbo s with a top of 180+ which is not very shabby.

This 911 is a 964. 993 has no circles around the front lights plus the front lights are much more flat than in this 964. :-)))

And another thing check the look of the gauges. The 993 ones are similar to 996 ones, and 964 has gauges similar to the 930.

its a 964 turbo s as i remember. there different cars are used in this movie. one is the 964 turbo and the other is the 964 turbo s. very small cosmetic changes however, the engine is more powerful on the turbo s which makes it a really rare porsche and does hit 0-100 in 4 seconds.
