I think I know why we don't see the Danica of 2005. And it has nothing to do with something in the present. The reason is a man named Paul Dana. He died at Homestead in 2006, the opening race. He was Danica's teammate. I think this crash still haunts her. That's maybe why she is trying the transfer to NASCAR, you have to admit that it is safer. Man I wish that Danica can remember her 2005 self and beat everyone's... She has the ability, does she have the will?

@PhilipTheBigOne So, Paul Dana's fatal crash is the reason why Danica isn't agresive in the race track. Ok, but if she wants race in NASCAR, don't show or tell her about the Carlos Pardo, Eric Martin or Dale Earnhardt fatal crashes. If Danica still remember that tragedy, she's finish, her best moment is over.

@Pardo217Patrick: You may be right, and I could be wrong about it, but think about it: Paul was her team-mate, and, I guess, a friend of hers. I still believe that this crash could be haunting her, but she may be starting to get over it. I heard her interview after Homestead and she seemed to be really confident about 2011. What she needs is confidence, I believe, and she could do miracles!!! Plus a few clean, solid races in NASCAR to start the season, that brings momentum.

@Pardo217Patrick: Look, it had to be devastating though... Think about it: 12 hours earlier, they were partying and talking and having a great time, as it was Danica's 24th birthday. And the next morning, Paul dies... She just HAD to be badly shaken after it... But I trust her, and I know that she can do great in 2011.

My 3 wishes for Danica in 2011 are:

1st: to get a win in Indycar.

2nd: to have consistent solid runs in NASCAR.

3rd: to become even more aggresive than in years past.

They way that guy shot past her - there was a big big disparity in horsepower that makes me think they had cut the fuel back and that cost her the race. She was magnificant.

Also, I don't see them topping off her tanks during the front nose cone change. If that was indeed the case it probably cost the team the race.
