@IGNentertainment Metroid Fusion is chronologically after Other M. On the Wikipedia page for the Metroid series, it lists the correct chronological order of the games, and Nintendo even tells us that Other M takes place before Fusion. Plus, in Fusion, Samus' suit and appearance is dramatically altered, and Adam is dead, which is why Samus names the ships' AI after him. In Other M, Samus still has her original suit, and Adam is alive. I'm not trying to yell at your amazing work, simply correct it

And honestly, there is nothing compelling about the Wiiu that would make me want to buy it. It just seems like Nintendo is trying to find the next gimmick to put on a system. I'm not writing it off but they haven't shown ANYTHING about it, and it's supposed to be out later this year. That's not good.

You sound like a nooby, so I won't be harsh on you. The first time you see Samus without her suit, is in Metroid (NES) also, through out the series she takes the suit off. You can play as Zero-Suit Samus, in Metroid Zero Mission (Remake of 1st Metroid game) Also, in Metroid: Other M. I hope I helped.

I am going to strangle someone if I hear someone else prounounce it "Zeb-ess" instead of "Zeebs". I blame Other M for adding another irritating earsplitter to the Metroid family. I acknowledge that Other M may be a fun as hell game with maybe an interesting story, but canon-wise, f- it.

(Side note: I originally thought it was pronounced "Ah-ran" until hearing otherwise in MP3, and I had no problem accepting it.)

It is based on the original Japanese spelling, which is not actually a Japanese name, but a bunch of sounds made to sound exactly like they wanted the name to sound in English (or really any language)! Unfortunately there wasn't much voice acting until MP3, so people who didn't know the Japanese assumed what her name sounded like until then. I have no idea why Nintendo of America decided to fuck it up, though.

Some people would think, since Samus talks about Adam in past tense and loses her power suit in Fusion, it comes after Other M. I think Fusion comes before Other M because there was a period of time when she didn't work for Adam, she never mentioned his death in Fusion, and she absorbs the X in her suit at the end of the game, restoring her appearance.

Also, the X at the end of Fusion didn't restore her appearance, it made her new suit the colors of her original suit (as shown in the cutscene afterwards).
