  • Brilliant mind

  • What you sholud do if you really want answers, look in to the bible..This Gnostic and New Era stuff, is misleading you...I am telling you dont believe ..all you see or read..try to get your answers doing your own research....and using your common sense..that one will never lie to you.

  • @bibi5214 How can we not believe what we read, and are told to believe the bible, when what is written in the bible comes from what we're reading!?

  • @Raybee It's called critical thinking and logic.

  • @GnosticMedia Precisely why I side with Allegro.

  • @Raybee I know what you mean..but the diference is that the bible is not just another book, is The book...and there is no more complete book about all sciences in this world, with such knowledge and perfection,,,the problem might be the translations, because we have the risk to give the wrong interpretation of the original meaning.

  • @bibi5214 Actually, it is just a book, written by fallable men with little to no understanding of science, geography, history and the like. Dates, places, events, etc all taken out of place and order. God doesn't write books, man does. Look into nature at the trees, birds, mountains, plants, animals - those are things that god made.. Not books... In EVERY instance, man has made books. It's not the translation that's the problem, it's those who take it literally.

  • The consciousness of man, we humans, split in two. We were once a part of nature undivided, but now we have an isolated and separated existence from nature. This is the single greatest tragedy of tragedies.

  • @Josephjoel3 Yet, mournful as it may be, the bog-filled swamp of separation is the grandest deception! The great illusion is that we are separate, when in reality we are the microcosmic black hole; Akashic holograms. Endless fields of consciousness, myriad dimensions of understanding. Laws and physics, and technology, this is the blood of god; we are veins. Nature has always been the wretched darkness, and yet the guiding gilded light. Yin and Yang. Even still, beyond such duality, all is one.

  • wow

  • I dont believe or disbelieve anything ,for me once you believe something ,it does not allows to learn anythig new that contradicts your belief. I dont agree with this guy totally, but im amazed at his clclusions ,since he has never eating mushrooms or tried lsd.. I think there have been spiritual )consciousness( guides, leaders, like BUDHA, JESUS, MOHAMED,KRISHNA. probably the very first rock idols from the past ,that made a quantum leap.thanks to plants or food poisoning, fasting,

  • If this theory is credible at all, then tell me why none of the other scholars had the same idea? With just one guy to go by, its kind of difficult to accept anything he says.

  • @xOnimpulsex he was the only non-illuminati who has ever been allowed to fully study the sea scrolls. that's why... everyone else doesn't say shit cuz they are working for the stupid vatican or isreal

  • @420protoman Where can I read about this illuminati that you speak of?

  • @xOnimpulsex

search Adam Weishaupt.... there is a wikipedia page for him, he founded the illuminati back in 1776, it's real buddy. it's not a secret.

  • @420protoman If it's not a secret than why is it called secret society? Listen. I'm christian fundamentalist or anything; I consider myself a panentheist. But, I'm looking into the historic authenticity of scripture so I can be informed and understand if it really is what the religion says. Do you recommend any credible books or anthropologists to look into that are well espoused in this field? Why wasnt I taught the illuminati in school and if its secret then why is it on wikipedia?

  • @xOnimpulsex

read the book "world's in collision" i have it. it's the best. do not listen to the critics what they say about the Author.... the elite tried very hard to discredit this book and even went as far as trying to not allow it to be published. even Carl Sagan on his TV show "cosmos" did a short segment on the author of this book Velikovsky. i noticed that the great astrologer Sagan flat out lied about electrical discharges between celestial bodies to disprove the author

  • Sagan stated that there is no such thing as electrical discharges between celestial bodies. but he was lying because he knows about Lexell's comet, if I know about it. he sure does.... i'm no famous astrologer like him. Lexell's comet was observed when it got entangled with Jupiter and it's moons for 10 years or more then when it got realeased by electrical discharge, the electrical discharge it was also observed, it's a very important moment in the history of this stuff.

  • @420protoman thanks so much! That book looks very interesting i just ordered it haha. I can't initially say much about what i think about that because i don't study science. But I need to because its important to justify a self processing universe and evolution has to account for that. Evolution has a lot of holes that im still trying to figure out; origin of life being the main one. Sorry to bother you like this as well but, do you also know any scientists with works thatlayout the theory well?

  • yo sup gnosticmedia its been long time!! Looking for a quote John Allegro said, you guys featured it , in one of your video clips Pharmacratic Inquisition 2007 version i think. "Wrong side won". help me out

  • What a great find!

Van Kooten & De Bie were legendary Dutch TV makers. Normally they were bitingly satirical comedians. You can tell how much they were blown away by Allegro's book by the fact that they fell out of character and became unusually serious in this item.

  • English muthafucka! Do You speak it!

  • whoa brand new ideas to me.....interesting stuff!

  • Excellent!

  • along with man's amazement in the world, he may also sense a guiding force, which he could see as god... i dont believe that men all believed this force was an animal god, or humanoid god, but rather that these things were used as symbols for expressing a notion of supernatural forces in the world...this is not to say that other people didnt mistake these symbols to be literal descriptions of a god.. personally, i cant believe the world came from nothing, and then looking like this

  • i think, if mankind created the concept of god, rather than shown the concept from god, it was because mankind looked at the world, and saw that it was amazing, and in his amazment, he assumed that an amazing force must have created it... i dont go along with john marco's idea that it was imagined to fullfill a need of man to merely comfort himself and put off the responsibiliy for running his own life.. clearly john thinks only fools would see god in the world, as most of you will agree

  • Wow! Those mushrooms only grow in forests thousands of kilometers from the Middle East, (coniferous), but, without a shread of evidence, he suggests the mushrooms were imported down to Sumer and Israel. Wow! That's great history work! A real scientific mind this Allegro has!

  • @Floodlezoot the experiences described and such suggest it was the psilocybin mushroom, I'm thinking the linguistic references to amanita are so people will poison themselves trying to replicate the rituals. Amanitas are dissociative they usually do not produce those symptoms at all, even at recreational doses.

I suggest you try eating 7g of magic mushrooms, and you will see what the best kept secret of reality still is! It's right in front of people and they still don't fucking grasp it!

  • According to a report in New Scientist, a row of 13 small mushroom-like objects in the painting also match the known size and shape of so-called magic mushrooms, called psilocybe hispanica.

The report notes, however, that these are not the oldest representations of magic mushrooms used by people. A similar mural in Algeria dates the practice as far back as 9,000 years.

How about this for evidence you starcraft ridden douchenerd.

  • @Floodlezoot psilocybin mushrooms grow on cow shit.

  • Continued...

I definitely see early Christianity as a mix of two or more traditions. I don't think it is purely a mushroom religion, and not purely a religion started by an apocalyptic preacher either. I think a reconciling of the two could be in order.

This might be a good masters thesis topic. I guess I should focus on finishing my bachelors first...don't want to dream too big or too fast, lol!

  • My main concern is this: Can the mushroom theory better explain early Christianity than some of the more accepted theories out there? I'm inclined to stick with Ehrman's "Jesus was a real apocalyptic preacher" theory because to date that theory has seemed the most reasonable to me.

Maybe early Christians in the search for new converts welcomed mushroom cult members into their rank and file? And maybe it was these cultists that added mushroom influence to the new Christian religion?

  • crap !

  • the mushroom was one containing psilocybin, not amanita muscaria. but otherwise his deductions are perfect and brilliant, he was just stepping out of his field for a bit because nobody would really work with him. Love you man

  • @sandwichtaster That's untrue. There's ample evidence for both - which I published in my last two books - 2006 and 2008.

  • @GnosticMedia I think if they'd only stuck to psilocybin they'd be a lot further scientifically. haha

  • @sandwichtaster That's your opinion based on limited information. I suggest you actually read and study the latest research before leaping to false conclusions.

  • @GnosticMedia i suggest you take mushrooms then maybe you'd know there is an unlimited amount of information you can recieve by takn it. opens up levels of consciousness tapping into the frequencys of evrything that is made up you and the universe ... its fuckn deep shit the ancients ...it needs to b addressed to everyone now.

  • @inkQbus2009 You might want to find out who you're talking to. The above poster didn't have a clue what he was talking about and was spreading false information. I'm the publisher of Allegro's book. I've also written several books on mushrooms my self, and I've taken them many times, which is discussed often throughout my publications, radio interviews, videos, lectures, and other places.

  • @GnosticMedia hey thanx alot for the info, you mean find out about talking to you??, ya that other guy was clueless about what i meant, but you sound experienced, we should talk sometime, somethings goin on in the world with these mushrooms and it needs to b addressed to mankind, i have unbeileivable goddl;y experiences of geometric patters of life, you know??? theres too much to explain in words...hit me back

  • @GnosticMedia wow! amazing, yes i need to talk to someone like you, theres patterns in my life that significantly point out signs to me, then i take mushrooms and it clicks like i cant believet here and i feel like i need to be apart of this whole thing and talk to people on my level whove been there to help figure it this out for mankind you know???

  • @inkQbus2009 check out the videos on the triviumeduation*com website, and also the material and study groups at tragedyandhope*com

  • @GnosticMedia

Have you tried Ayahuasca the ultimate teacher plant.

  • @inkQbus2009

Could'nt agree more,Take Ayahuasca the ultimate teacher plant.

  • @sandwichtaster hahahaha, yeah good point. Also when I realized the 'blood of christ' was his piss, this made a lot more sense.

  • @litereader...or maybe ur mother

  • Wonderful voice Allegro. Diction is faultless.

    Good vid sir.

  • @Nirvarnacarl.LOLOL.seriously?? u know nuthing about me.typical small mindedeness.I am a thinker bro..I can think for myself thank u.I dont care WHO says what.I have MY OWN MIND.I dont take any authorities position on shit.I research and study on my own.To say we came from chimps or apes is to deny reality on other deminsions and TRUE spiritualism..Higher thinking knows that in order to judge accuratly. One must step back and become neutral.just cause i dont accept this authority's position.smh

  • while i cannot speak to every reason apes are evolving now. but we are not most closely related to apes but rather chimpanzees. the reason they evolved over lions or bears is undoubtedly the fact that chimanzees have a much larger cortex region and specifically frontal cortex region. responsible for the ability to forsee how a current event or action can affect the future which aids in problem solving. why they are not evolving now is most likely the fact that the hominids split from the

  • @Hashishin..forgive tha typos in the first few lines...but also you didnt answer my questions really...Why aren't apes evolving today and why were they the only animals to evolve into ahigher intelligence...why not lions, tigers or bears..sure they were around too..I think we were created by higher beings as androgenous creaters having male and female parts..I saw a guy today with a huge head today..looked like a alien.. so higher intelligences definitly were involved

  • @pep72000 greater apes.. how? thats the aged question. could have to do with random genetic mutations which are found to occur at regular intervals. or jsut a freak accident. and the accident happened to take hold. im sure there were many accidents and evolutions which failed and noone knows about them now and never will. we only know of the successful mutations that took hold. but come on dude. do some mushrooms. looka t the stars, watch some documentaries on shit and stop be so supersticious.

  • @Hashishin13.Seriously??? well i will say bthis okay u explained yourn idea of the evolution of melanin deposits in different races.hmm but how do you explain hair..if you look at blacks hair it naturaly is more electric.. i guess cause they live in warmer climates and are exposed to the SUN more.but whites.if u really look closely at the hair...it is akin to fur...if you look at a dog's fur and a feel a white person's hair then it is more like fur...real talk...how do you explain that evolution

  • U GUYS ACTUALLY AGREE THAT WE EVOLVED FROM APES??? WELL IF THAT IS TRUE THEN WHY AREN'T APES EVOLVING INTO HUMANS CURRENTLY?? WHY DID APES ONLY EVOLVE...WHY NOT OTHER ANIMALS...I DO BELIEVE IN HIS RELIGION THEOERY... BUT DAMN...HIS BEGINNING IS BULLSHIT..IN MY OPINION

  • @pep72000 We evolved FROM A COMMON ANCESTOR. Remember Adam and Eve? Were they white or black? How does the bible explain ethnicity? IT DOESN'T. Evolution DOES! The people who stayed in Africa got darker and darker because its very sunny there and if you stay out in the sun without dark skin you get burned and eventually get skin cancer. So the light skinned people in africa had to eat more to repair burned skin and died sooner from cancers. Over time the darker people out competed them.

  • @pep72000 On the other hand, the people who went north to where there is very little sun got lighter and lighter because we need vitamin D3 from the sun and dark skin blocks this out to some extent. The lighter people absorbed more sun and therefore had mroe D3 which made them healthier and better able to attract mates, fight off diseases and famine so they survived and prospered while the darker individuals died off at a greater rate.

Evolution is simple, and explains a lot, learn about it.

  • @pep72000 ...There is a possibility, we,the humans,[more so the folks that type in capitals ] could very well be evolving into apes...only time will tell.

  • check the book...the first president of Americas chair with the mushroom on the head board

  • @lesleyblood1 wow dude, thanks for telling me that. Very impressive.

  • @Hashishin13 just google "george washingtons chair",….pics of it there

  • the truth taste so good :)

  • @GnosticMedia 's comments are well worth reading.

  • I'm a little bit dubious about the importation of dried mushroom powder to the Middle East, but regardless of that it's a fascinating and authoritative viewpoint. Even if his analysis was wrong a remaining question would be where in the gospels is there any inclusion of the effect on human biology of the psychotropic plant substances.

  • @Sliptodance Actually, it is well evidenced that mushrooms at one point grew there. In the 1950s Robert Graves also reported seeing them growing there. Where did it say "mushroom powder"? I missed that. Ever hear of the cedars of Lebanon, for instance? There used to be millions of trees in the middle east during biblical times, massive forests, which are gone today due to both weather and humans.

  • @GnosticMedia It didn't say powder, my roundabout observation is that the phallic appearance of an agaric is destroyed by dehydration. Rather than ask me about Lebanon cedars to postulate that the correct fungi should have been at that locality it would be more revealing to ask why didn't the cult of worship with the mushroom as a catalyst occur where the plant is indigenous.

  • @Sliptodance "importation of dried mushroom powder" - just because they dehydrate, does not turn them to powder. Don't know where you'd get this idea from - but it's flat wrong. You said nothing of phallic before. I already told you that Robert Graves reported seeing them growing there (Israel) in the 1950s, and as they're mushrooms that grow in relationship with trees, certainly the cedars of Lebanon is EXACTLY where they would have grown in abundance in the local area 2000 years ago.

  • @Sliptodance It's clear that the research and publications available on the topic is far deeper than your misconstrued "roundabout observations". I'd happily recommend you a number of books. You also seem to not understand that Amantia grow in a symbiotic relationship with trees - they cannot grow without trees - cedars is one of their favorite hosts. And turn to powder - that's absurd. They'll stay whole as mushrooms for several years after picking.

  • @GnosticMedia Just to underline the issue, amanita is not biologically the most appropriate species around which to conduct a ritual of deity worship. And all mushroom are about 90% water, and after being dehydrated they are completely deformed (the ones I did won't be different from the rest). What remains is very crisp and brittle, and the rendering down to total powder is an alluring temptation to any merchant of today or yesteryear.)

  • @Sliptodance All sorts of herbs, medicines, spices, foods, etc, have been traded by mankind, even in the Middle east, for tens of thousands of years. Even the literature on Soma in the Rig Vedas says it's nearly always purchased or stolen from outsiders - not of the local vacinity. So again, your argument isn't necessarily valid. Today people use Ayahuasca regularly - imported from South America. People have been trading drugs for 1000s of years. Read your history books.

  • @GnosticMedia Perhaps you'll be informing me that the Amanita Muscaria from beech trees from outside the Middle East was imported so that folk could put it in milk and draw in the household flies which then would die after drinking?

  • @Sliptodance BTW, I have mushrooms, Amanitas, here that I picked in 2004 - 7 years ago - still whole mushrooms today. The color has changed, but they're still mushrooms. No powder. So again, your observations are just wrong - as you didn't observe anything in reality and fact check it, you just simply hypothesized what you think could be your idea of "observation" - which in reality was simply a "wild guess".

  • @GnosticMedia Because you pick mushrooms you can draw an allegory and see masculinity, god, noon-day disappearances, and the traits of the species that made people of long ago equate the species with a deity. The same scrutiny was not possible to the Semites if the species was not indigenous to the Middle East. How then did the mystical allure attain to the imported merchandise?

  • @Sliptodance You change your argument with every reply. I've already provided you several sources about them being available in the middle east - twice now. Please try to comprehend what you read/hear/see, and avoid the constant red herrings and changing of arguments at every whim. Thanks.

  • @GnosticMedia well, i've read that book... actually i've made a translation for myself in Italian from an old original edition from the '71, and all i can say is that Allegro's theory is fucking well documented and the only way to put questions against his job, is to do research by your own... Links to every other sources than your own direct experience is merely futile. I've always felt inside of me that behind Jesus story there is something "more" ...

  • @AutomiRibelli You should read my book The Holy Mushroom, 2008.

  • @GnosticMedia I have already Jan... i took it from Amazon 2 months ago with the new release of John Allegro's "bomb" book.

  • Comment removed

  • @GnosticMedia The world is a place that only stands on lies... and there is a big difference between reading, looking and "OBSERVE". The observer always knows inside which one is the truth, and which is the lie. Men's logical and Conscious apparatus tends always to fall (or fail) over the same "spider web" created by it's own mind.

p.s. I'm publishing in Italy the Rick Strassman's book "DMT The Spirit Molecule", i hope we can get in touch to have interviews for our publishing association...

  • Like the find

  • ..Allegro should have spent more time reading a KJV bible. What he has tapped into is the "god" of this world, not to be confused with the God of our creation.

  • shroomery . org if your interested further.

  • I disagree on a slight point, I think god stems from the fear of the forces of nature as a whole with maybe other animals as a subset. There are several references n the old testament that could easily be atributed to a volcanoe.

  • shrooooooooooms ftw!

  • Pure gold. Thanks

  • the mushroom stops you from going up yourself by showing you how crazy your ego can be, dont think you can reach there because you are really good at maths ,because we are all one & the ego is not important to the mushroom & it eats you up like dead wood, you can not just progress mankind with out looseing your ego driven need to advance & replace it with love & an understanding of the self & human emotions.it can only come through partaking. no partaking ,no true understanding.

  • Wow. Really hope to see those hidden BBC/CBS interviews someday.

  • these retro vids and sounds freak the shit out of me

  • 38 likes 0 dislikes!!!!:)

  • Allegro was one hell of a nice guy!!! How could some be more polite then him??

  • love is the main mesage of the mushroom, i had a feeling he had never partaken of mushrooms, so it would be very hard for him to understand why the mushroom was god or why jesus the man was nailed to a cross to symbolise how big & dramaticly the mushroom effects mankind.he was the best man for the job of giving us the pure facts about the dead sea scrolls, but would he have got more out of the findings had he partaken the mushroom himself?

  • @lostindebespace awesome video huh?? There is no question that John would have SEEN EVEN MORE TRUTH if he would have partaken himself but the fact that he didn't ever take mushrooms somehow adds to his believability to certain segments of the population. The fact that he understood the languages and was able to see that certain phrases were really the names of the mushrooms is astonishing to me......John even suggested the partaking of holy mushrooms at the last supper...AMAZING!!!!

  • @HolyPsilocybeMushies ha ha I told you so.

  • @lostindebespace what specifically did you TELL ME SO?? Because of this video I am even more convinced that Jesus ate magic mushrooms at the last supper.........did you see the painting with the mushrooms on the table in this video?? my wife painted one just like it and we didn't even know that another one existed but the painting itself points to the truth.....Allegro gets the fact that the sacrament used at the last supper was the magic mushroom......

  • @HolyPsilocybeMushies i was only being child like and funny because i was full of joy at you telling me about this great video of my hero telling it how it is. I knew it was not enought to break through your deep rooted conditioning that jesus was a man who promoted the mushroom.

its cool as the mushroom spirit of jesus is everything, because once you take the mushroom you are the mushroom.

  • @lostindebespace I still believe the exact same thing that I believed before I watched this video but now I have even more evidence that I am correct about the fact that Jesus ate magic mushrooms at the last supper....so when you say HA HA I TOLD YOU SO--I am not sure what you are talking about.......but regardless of weather or not we agree......I still love ya Deb!!! I love ya like a red-headed step child!!:)..lol........

  • @HolyPsilocybeMushies Allegro argued that Jesus was the mushroom, not that he ate the mushroom. See the cover of the book The Holy Mushroom - where on the front cover you'll see a photo from Montferrand du Perrigord, France, 12 century, depicting Jesus AS a mushroom.

  • @GnosticMedia thanks, but it dont mean i have had enough shrooms to forgive you yet.

  • @lostindebespace mushrooms alone will not result in forgiveness but mushrooms in rememberance of Jesus the man will lead you to forgive everyone on the planet and when you forgive everyone on the planet then God within you will forgive you...he that has mercy will recieve mercy and he that forgives will be forgiven...love your neighbors and love your enimies and do good to those who persecute you...it is remembering these kind of things about Christ when we partake that will deliver us from evil

  • @HolyPsilocybeMushies you know what i mean Todd, & i know you still feel the same and that is why i laugh.

  • @lostindebespace I think he would've, but people who hadn't tried them, wouldn't believe him. But that's fine. But he maybe could've added more for the people who had taken them, and could experientially related to their effects.

  • @JediMindTraveler i never wrote this my friend did but i love it.

Aruj Khan ::I think Allegro does understand.. He obviously understands, thing is he doesnt know what it feels like. Intellectually and logically I believe he gets it but hes never actually felt the experience.I hate that hes never tried it but I think his findings which later influenced him to be Agnostic made him realize he is not a Christian and a Christian to him was the Ancient Cult.

  • love is the main mesage of the mushroom

  • What an absolute treat that was, thank you Jan.

Allegro's voice and use of the English language reminds me of great actors like Anthony Hopkins, actually Hopkins would be the perfect choice for a character based on Allegro. He could eat some Muscaria caps with a nice bottle of Chianti fff ffff ffff th th.

    :P

  • Nice!!!!!! keep up the great work you are doing educating us all Jan!!!!!!!!!:) this helps me better understand why John believed in the the way that he did,,,,,,,,,awesome video!!!! thanks for the upload Jan!!!:)

  • Abra=אברה which is "to create" and cadabra=כדברא which is "as I say",

  • @thruthem It's also based on abcd.. .the alphabet, like abecedarian, an expert in the alphabet. And of course the alphabet is what we use to forms words, or logos, the "creative word of god".

  • There is another take on the abracadabra history by Jewish historian Lawrence Kushner in his 'Book of Words' he writes this: “According to the Hebrew Bible, God made the world with words. God just spoke and the world became reality. (The Aramaic for ‘I create as I speak’ is avara k’davara, or in magician’s language, abracadabra.) . . .

  • thanks Jan for this fab upload, always good to hear a piece of special history and John M Allegro is certainly an inspiration, his voice and being ignite the fires within :D

  • Thanks for the video !! Glad your account was set to allow for videos over 15 minutes, mine was too, it is MUCH better that way !!!!

  • And so, we are are all experiencing a collective alchemical trance-formation, death of materialism and rebirth and resurrection of the spirit! One can experience and know this individually, by taking the mushroom. This peak experience is the end of time, the end of the illusion of past and future - it is the initiation into the eternal Now, and all the shamanic magic and power that resides there, and always has.

  • @JediMindTraveler If Allegro would've taken them, he would have completely sacrificed his standing as an impartial scholar. The experience is only a reflection of the subconscious mind of the taker, and the stories of the experiences are highly contagious. There is nothing spiritual or magical about them, that is how religions and superstitions get started. They should be used and studied, but never worshiped that "to me" was the entire problem of entheogen use by later man.

  • @123backinyerface "only" a reflection of the subconscious? Only? to me, there is a startling amount of experience and knowledge in the unconscious, which can be awakened to. To be a true scholar and researcher of entheogens, you definitely have to take them. There are things you cannot believe otherwise. There's nothing magical about mushrooms... hm.... try taking high doses alone in a ceremonial setting. The magic is certainly there.

  • @JediMindTraveler Well said. And I also recommend those in doubt to study Dr. Thomas Roberts work in Psychedelic Horizons - multi-state conscious theory.

  • @GnosticMedia hey, I just went through his powerpoint slides on Multi State Theory. It really gives good reasons for scientists to use multiple states to solve problems. In my opinion, it's really the only way to push forward and make breakthroughs - most if not all our problems or blockages come from assumptions and limited perceptions of reality. And to get to those places, I'm working on projects to, as he says, "combine psychotechnology into new recipes" - entrainment with biofeedback etc...

  • @JediMindTraveler Sorry but you are talking nonsense. Yes I have taken very high doses and instead of pretending to be some kind of witchdoctor like you obviously did, I did my own experiments with them. They are perception altering substances, not gateways to the supernatural. Your "ceremonial setting" is nothing more than a belief you have, just a prior system of belief you are susceptible to, just like people have to certain religions.

  • @JediMindTraveler I would read a certain book cover to cover and then take a dose, I would watch a certain movie before taking a dose, I would walk in a certain area for a few hours etc. The results were always the subconscious mind playing out that which was freshest in it. That's why religions were made stronger by entheogens, constantly talking about angels and gods and reading scripture, charging the mind, then what happens when the substance is taken? People see angels and gods, go figure.

  • I think they are also remarkable substances, but there is absolutely no benefit to mankind to be rolling around on your ass laughing, or regurgitating past systems of belief trying to find validity in them. They should be used scientifically, they should be studied scientifically. I would like to see what would happen if the smartest physicists in the world got together and took a small dose, and collaborated on something by "putting the substance to work", not all holding hands and chanting etc

  • @123backinyerface I agree. Right now it seems its in the hands of Universities using psilocybin to cure drug addiction something which we stopped doing in the 60s. But you're right if we want to get on the ball to maybe our salvation then we might need to really go further with psychedelics. People with the capacity with a higher perception of mathematics might be able to create an answer for so many problems.

  • @Psychedelic925 Precisely! I just don't think the idea of people clinging to the supernatural element of entheogens as beneficial, we should be looking at them more like a tool in a tool box. Primitive man thought he saw gods through them, modern man should not make the same mistake, the last time that happened we ended up with Catholicism which basically tried to murder modern science in its infancy.

  • @123backinyerface Well you cant forget that the cults that were using psychedelics were actually at a different level of consciousness and science, art, and exploration of the body was more prominent and all regarded as equally important it wasnt till 300 years after did we see religion being used as a way to control. In respect to the ancients theyre actually a lot more evolved then us intellectually. So to say we just use psychedelics to experiment and test is not always its main use/

  • @Psychedelic925 I think there is a tendency to over romanticize entheogens and I think this is exactly what people refuse to address. They put the subject into a very high state of gullibility, not many people want to hear that but its a provable fact. You can literally make anyone believe anything no matter how ridiculous, you must have some experience of this yourself for example when a friend has taken them but you have not? Now when you say "more evolved" what exactly do you mean?

  • I think that the small doses produce more benefits than large doses. Mckenna made a very interesting point with psilocybe mushrooms, that in small doses the eye sight really does improve, the mind is a lot more adaptable to certain situations in a sense of, not as impulsive or quick to react via preconditioned responses like fight or flight for example. I think these benefits can occur up until a point, and then they tend to become self indoctrinating, but hey, the "road of excess" right? lol.

  • @JediMindTraveler Nicely put.

  • Allegro was a badass scholar! but he certainly would have known more about the meaning of the mushroom if he actually took it! - the crucifixion was and is what one can experience when eating the mushroom - death of the material, and rising up of the spirit.

And the cross - nothing less than the astrological sequences starting dec. 21, 2012, the ecliptic crossing the galactic center, where the christ consciousness emanates, and where we cross into a new world.

  • @JediMindTraveler - The whole idea of resurrection in the spring also comes from the seasons, as the earth begins to bloom again, wake up, or resurrect after a dead cold winter. Earth cults of all sorts were celebrating resurrection in the spring long before Christian times, this is one reason the word Easter comes from Ishtar a fertility goddess of Babylon. Entheogens played a role in religions, but the concepts go FAR beyond just that, into solar cycles, seasons, planets, stars, etc...

  • @EducatedRebellion101 sure, reality is fractal - the same pattern repeats in different scales - death and rebirth through the seasons, the day, the life of a human, the in and out breath, and finally, I think we will realize the death and rebirth of creation in every single moment, awakening to the eternal Now.

  • @JediMindTraveler He would've taken it if he felt he truly identified as an Ancient Christian, but this is why he began Agnostic, he realized what the root of his religion he later denounced.

  • this would be a cool halftime show for the upcoming super bowl.
