it´s a shame there were so few people in the audience, you performed it with such a propertie... Congratulations fellow, where can i find more works of you and aperghis?
Thanks for your comment. Aperghis is one of the principal figures in theatre music for percussion which is of particular interest to me. I found the piece by researching music of this type and speaking with colleagues who were familiar with it.
Hi, you might want to research Tombak/Zarb (and it's playing styles) a bit more. Françoise Rivalland plays the piece with many of the technical solutions JP Drouet utilized for his original version (without the wine glass though, instead she turns her head like it says in the score), there's a video of her version here on youtube. For modern styles start with Pedram Khavarzamini and maybe take a look at Navid Afghah and Pejman Hadadi later as well or search youtube for Tombak or Zarb. Good luck

Brilliant! It made me laugh with joy! I'm looking for pieces with text and this is now definitely on my list. Loved the silences too. Great job.

Thanks for your kind words! I don't have any other videos up at the moment of Aperghis...but hopefully more to come.

I feel like the worlds of theater and music should remain seperate entities, although that's just my opinion.

This is a very nice interpretation, I really likes it. This is something really hard to play and you did it well.

Thanks for this... I did a voice workshop with Richard Armstrong a few years ago using Aperghis' music theatre scores. They're tough, great job!
