Back in 75 it was rare for one film to be shown on multiple screens in only cinemaplex. Hence, long lines for hours just to get a ticket. This was before you could buy tickets in advance. I twice failed to see Jaws because of long lines. One one of those occasions I ended up seeing Race with the Devil with Peter Fonda and Loretta Switt, a crap movie compared to Jaws. Third time trying to see Jaws was a charm. A moment embedded in pop culture.
