I once heard this song outside a cafe and it literally haunted me for six months. I couldn't remember the lyrics but I remembered the rhythms. Then one day I remembered enough to google it (yes after months had gone by) and was able to find it again, after hearing it for maybe just a minute or so I knew it was one of the most beautiful songs I'd ever heard. I love this band so much.

I usually hate this kind of alternative soft-rock style because it's usually the genre of choice for faux-emotional milquetoasts, but getting into Grandaddy recently has proven to me that a good artist can make great music in ANY genre. Love it.

I love this video. It's so pointless. The old guy poops out, they refresh him, the scientist at 2:21 has his doubts, but the old guy pulls through. He fires up the toys and lights up the band. The toys are happy, even doing flips (3:15), the band is happy, the scientists are happy. The experiment is a success. But so pointless! Kind of like modern life. But the music is rousing and soothing at the same time...
