Its good to voice your opinion. But i do disagree with you on the whole event pokemon thing, as well as the guessing of what should be uber. E.g. not using garchomp or salamence. Not playing with events now, could see us not touching them for literally years to come. Considering people who play competetivly tend to not get pokemon legitimately when using wi-fi, and can use anything on battle sims, there's not much point waiting for the head up from nintendo. In game events are more for novelty.

@AVB202 Completelly respected. Even if old ubers aren't considered as much powerful anymore, the way people think irritates me. "There are more powerful things now, there's no reason not to use them." or "There are no tiers yet on this generation". I've even heard someone say they think Reshiram should be OU, and it clearly has the stats of an Uber. Now, for events, I doubt it'll take them years to send in the last 3. People can use them at will, just not against me. It's my fair way of thinking

@JonazAsdf Smogon's policy agrees with you. If you can't get it legitimately, you can't use it. End of story. (Arceus has to be used with no more than 100 evs in a stat due to the lvl 100 event.)

Using ilegal movesets is one thing but using meloia, kerudio and genosect are another. One day they're going to be obtainable so I see no problem in antecipating it.

@Axemninja People don't care if the egg move combinations are legit, they don't look it up. Most times, they'll end up having pokemon with illegal moves put in together on the same set.

Hey dude SR + Spikes is legit on Nattorei any combination of these moves Spikes/SR/Leech Seed that consists of ONLY 2 of these moves are legal. Spikes SR Spikes Leech Seed SR Leech Seed. Torterra gives SR Leech Seed. Cacturne gives Leech Seed Spikes and the Hermit crab gives SR Spikes.

I agree with most of your opinions. The player imagination has too much drive in the metagame, though I disagree in that all Pokemon should be used, simply for the sake of experimentation, and most dream world abilities are fixes or alternatives to pokemon who were previously vastly underpowered in some regards. Though, it does bother me as well that people use illegal movepools without bothering to check if the two egg moves can come from the same parent.

I think that most of the gen 4 users should be allowed until smogon says anything else, as there is gen 5 pokémon that got about the same movepool and better stats (for example, ononkuso > garchomp and sazandora >< mence). Based on these new pokémon I also expect the level of OU pokémon to raise. I do agree that they were banned for a reason, but as long as stronger pokémon isn't banned because they are newer, it would be unfair to not allowed them for the time being.

@WarLordFTW I only disagree with you on the Ononokusu being superior to Garchomp, but sure, I guess they can be allowed in, just not the way people put it. "There's no metagame, let's use the older gen ubers". Clearly Reshiram and Zekrom have uber stats, but in that way of thinking, they'd be allowed as well because they have no tier yet.

It's funny how when people argue about something going Uber, they don't realise that the Ubers tier is a BANLIST. You can play it, but just because a Pokemon isn't good enough in Ubers, but too good in OU, why do people's minds go straight to "It's going to suck in Ubers.". Don't get me wrong, I am not saying that Ubers is not a tier that you shouldn't play, but it's merely a banlist for the OU tier, just like what BL is to UU. A Pokemon doesn't need to be as good as Arceus to be Uber.

2 things bout this rant. 1) all pokemon are useable to find the teirs, cause you cant find out who goes where anyother way. 2) dream world abilities and event mons are again legal, everyone is trying to findout what works and what doesnt so bitching bout a game that just came out actually has no rules or anything just yet. im not saying spam pokes to win in says use everything there is to use to get the best idea of how things work.

People use them to get aquainted to their skill. The early metagame is a testing process. Dont get upset for people using different pokes, without it the tier system would suck dick.

But these are Youtubers, they're not gonna be related to Smogon or any other place that actually bothers to build the tier system. They're just throwing up excuses to "test" everything. I'm fine with people using DW abilities against me, but I won't allow those events. That'll never happen.

@bobug816 If you're talking about Ononokusu, with the base 147 Attack and 97 Speed, it has a horrible movepool and can't get past certain walls in OU, so it won't be prominent at all. Sazandora is way better compared to it.

Useless opinions are useless. Unless these pokemon are as good as Arceus, which they aren't in the slightest, they won't be banned for being unobtainable. Genosect is really overrated in my mind, it's still pretty easy to beat. People will use these Gen 5 pokes how they want, you can't expect so much of people as for them to know that certain move combinations are illegal and not use them. And most people are still banning previous generation ubers anyways.

@JonazAsdf I understand you have an opinion, but like I said, it's useless and it only starts flame wars like shown. And I believe I pointed it out that Arceus is too good for Ubers. I said that the other ones won't get banned because they aren't too good like Arceus to be banned for that reason. By the way, Arceus gets countered by Dialga if it runs Overheat or by Forretress if it runs EQ on the SD set. I'm sure other sets have counters too.

@MrDizzySpinda I have nothing against Dream World abilities. It's the question of legal usage that arises. Just like event pokes are being used even though they can't be obtained yet. They shouldn't be used, but people are just selfish.
