@GamingToaster, if you want to be a Mage, just get the armor you want and enchant it for faster magic reload, or anything else to help you. If you want an Archer, it is always good to keep a close combat weapon just in case. Or just Fus Ro Dah them away.

You need to finish the companions quest where you kill the beast spirit inside kodlak (the quest that makes you the harbinger of the companions) and then you can make ancient nord armor ONLY at the skyforge in whiterun.

All you need to do is go to skyforge (the blacksmith forge at Jorvaskker (or whatever it's called) and go to the Daedric section (dont worry you dont have to be lvl 90 in smithing to access this, but you wont see the normal daedric armor there until lvl 90 only ancient nord armor. this only works at skyrforge, also i dont believe you can find any for sale from shop owners (although i may be wrong on that one)

I really really need some help!

I want to make a character that is range, so either Magic or Archery.

But Magic seems really good in close and range combat, but has a really bad armor rating without getting enchantment gear.

Then again, archery seems to do better damage at range and has a good armor rating (light armor).

But archery seems to frustrating in dungeons and caves etc. because you want to stay at a distance, which there pretty much isn't in a cave/dungeon etc.

So I need some help.
