@Araiko0 I'm a fan of everything Damon. I've seen TGTB&TQ, Gorillaz, Doctor Dee and Another Honest Jon's. Damon Albarn is the hardest working man in music. But i've also seen Gaga, because most people who rip her haven't given her a chance. She is a very talented musician, with an amazing voice who is far from "manufactured".
there is no other artist whose music makes me feel total empathy towards as a Englishman, a Londoner and going from adolescence to adulthood in the 90s
@baxzyc I respect Gaga, but the theme of her songs are just too unoriginal and poor... There's a lot of artists better than her, who deserves more gratitude, like Albarn.
@Araiko0 albarn's had his fair share of gratitude as well, and even then, you might think there's more people out there who deserve more than what he has... would you dislike Albarn then?
@baxzyc Lady Gaga is Demonic, disgusting, and using lyrics a 5th grader could write. Her message to the rest of the world is twisted. She wears a meat dress to symbolize what? that she is vegitarian or that "hey im so fuckin rich I can waste a few days worth of food on a publicity stunt." Fuck you Gaga, real people die everyday from starvation. Enough said.
@baxzyc My B, are we discussing Springsteen or Lady Gaga?? Springsteen= Greatness. Lady Gaga= Demonic Pawn. Thought it was clear. I'm not discussing money here I'm talking the message she puts out, the face she puts on, the soul she has sold, and the seed she hath sowed. Are you hearing me yet? Lady Gaga is version 4.0 of everything that is wrong w humanity. Install that into your hard dive and you are sure to have bugs... seriously....bugs. So you "chill, yo" I'm just giving SOUND advice.
@Araiko0 Come on, show some fucking respect. Ok you love this song, and so do I. But that doesn't give you the right to shade Lady Gaga because her music sounds nothing like this. Everyone has their own tastes.
Minimalism, this british genious Damon Albarn follows the path of legendary composer Michael Nyman (both of them was born the same day, different year). That is why his music is so superb.
This song is awesome for workout music. I walk during the beginning then when vocals stop it gets so intense that I run like a nigger escaping slavery.
this song is immense, it just takes me away to a place I can't describe, it's genius, Damon Albarn is a phenomenal songwriter and the feeling he gets in this just blows me away.
This song represents so well, the current mood of a modern society. Spiraling violently into something we aren't very sure of, its persistent and will go on for a long time, but it will end with crash and a small reprise for the few poor bastards who make it to the other side.
I first heard this in a shop on Christmas Eve a few years back....totally knocked me out. Paul Simenon is the X factor on this track....but everyone is fantastic! :-)
I don't mean to be annoying nor do I want to start an argument. But, what is special about him? I'm quite young and by listening to the music I can tell its quite old! So obviously I don't know why people like him.
@Sammo1357 Its not really that old XD it came out around 2006 lolz I think why people love him so much (inclusing me ^_^) is because his voice is just....different...not like those random teenager boy bands you'll hear everyday. idk if thats the real reason but thats why I love him so much. LoLz hope I answered your question :D
@Sammo1357 And because he's the vocalist for the "Gorillaz" (which I absolutely love). (Oh, and "Blur", but I don't care as much for them, they're more popular in England).
@Sammo1357 It's not old, but even if it was why would that be a reason not to like it? That's like saying people don't like the Beatles cuz they're old.
I love Damon, i do, but.. i just cant... see how this is a big deal. I honestly wish someone would help, i just dont see how this 'British superband' is, as you put it, 'one of the finest works'.
dont start flaming, people, i want to be enlightened.
@baxzyc i'm with brotherdarkness, i still don't understand the statement. goodbadqueen was le blah. this song good an all, but nothing to wet your pants about. his other stuffs are t3h bomb, better than this, and just amazin. best works ever by damon? gravity and starshine
@ieatjesus I think the best work from Damon is Rockit. But all his work is just so bloody brilliant that it's really hard to just pick the best. Damn near impossible really
@BrotherDarknessV1 this was a very mediocre album I thought, but this song and herculean are both gorgeous. for this one personally, I just really like the off-beat drums, the piano riff and of course, the way it builds and speeds up.
I'm not a fan. Always thought he was a bit of a prick and couldn't stick Blur (until he split up with the Elastica girl, then it got interesting) but I think this is fantastic.
super thanks mate ! really thank you so much , beside this specific tune, there were a couple more completely un-downloadable from other bands, really thank you ! and thak´s to "SKINS" for showingme this fantastic tune!
