Thanks for this tutorial. I have watched a lot of these looks for small eyes and am always intimidated. This one makes sense and doesn't look too made up or exagerated. I also did go back to the beginning of the tutorial and compared and your eyes do look bigger. Amazing! I do have one question though, I waned to put all the colours in a MAC quad for simplicities sake and wanted to know if you think that I could use shroom as a highlighter as well instead of the Vanilla?

you mentioned in some of your older videos that you often had to switch to the laura mercier minerals foundation after using pro lumiere for a while because of your skins reaction. do you have this same problem when using nars sheer glow?

The Nars Sheer Glow claims t improve your skin condition like the minerals do and I don't know that they improve your skin but they don't giv you any blemishes or spots like most other foundations do! I love the Sheer Glow, I wouldnt be able to wear it everyday if it clogged my pores so I guess it doesnt!

This is awesome! I have smaller eyes and this is almost exactly how I do my eye makeup every morning. I think the only difference is that I use satin taupe mixed with a little bit of copperplate instead of sable :)

Hi, I have mono lids, I have seen heaps of tutorial regarding making small eyes look bigger, and they always use light eyeshadow, can u show a smokey eye technique for mono lids that does not completely close they eye up? and also, I know for mono lids, just start the concentration of the color on the lash line, but when i use that technique, i find myself only using 1 eyeshadow for the whole lid, do you have any suggestion on colorful eye make up for mono lids? There has to be a way to make smaller eyes appear larger without using a white, cream, flesh tone, etc. pencil on the lower waterline. I have small, almond shaped eyes and whenever I apply a light color liner to my waterline I literally look dead. I've tried numerous times to pull off this look and every single time I have, someone always asks me if I'm tired or if I feel sick.  Is there not another way to help smaller eyes look bigger??

what would make my small asian eyes look bigger - light shimmery eyeshadow with thin black gel liner or smudged black pencil liner at lashline?

I don't know which would look better because you can hardly see my lids when my eyes are open

@snoopyxox Your liner (gel or pencil) should be thick enough so it's visible when the eye is open. This will help to define your eye. Highlight under the browbone too.

Also should I line my lower lashline with gel liner? The whole way or just the outer third? Should I smudge this?

@snoopyxox You should be able to see the light shimmery shadow as well as you can blend this lightly up to the browbone. Personally I think gel liner can be too harsh for the bottom rim. I prefer to use a darker shadow here like Tanya has used, it's much softer. If your eyes are deep set, avoid lining all the way round.

@snoopyxox I'm not asian myself but I have seen tutorials done by asians with smaller eyes, my recommendation is to search for those, since people with monolids or asian eyes have a different shape then the average small eye so this tutorial might not actually work, especially if as you say you can't see your lid when eyes are open, I would not go with thinner liner, and going heavier on corner of bottom lashline realllly helps for most of the asian looks Ive seen HTH.

@snoopyxox @snoopyxox I think either. Depends on whether you want a smoky look (smudged black pencil) or a light and shimmery look (shimmer shadow). Tanya is right, the most important things are the lower eyelid and eyelashes. Put light color on your waterline and tear ducts and well-blended brown shadow as far down your lower lid as you can handle. Curl and mascara your lashes thoroughly. If you want, apply false eyelashes and/or wear circle lenses. Asian stars/models are good inspiration!
