One of those got me in trouble once.. I was about 6 or 7 at my great-grandma's house. She had one and I was fascinated by it. Though I was told not to play with it, when no one was looking, I managed to let the chain fly out of my hand and through the little hole, therefore I could not turn it back off!! oops!!

I second the oil needed. Should be a lot smoother on the caost down. Nice little fan however. Interesting the design changes between UK and America

looks like it could use some oil and a good cleaning! i like old exhaust fans they work alot better than new junkers with plastic blades!
