Actually, getting a high score means using hypers during the first part of the stage and then chaining the rest without (there is a multiplier when your hyper bar is full). Not to mention that missing/bombing is even a bigger penalty than before, thanks to the fact that chains carry all the way to bosses. Plus there is a second loop (and true last boss) with patterns equal in density and speed to those in Futari's Ultra mode.
Agreed. As of lately, I have the feeling that CAVE is purposefully reducing the difficulty of the first loop while increasing the second, all to appeal to a wider audience.

I imagine getting a no miss/no bomb clear would still be hard, but getting a high score is basically "lolhyperz"
