  • the only problem with mactards is that they have ONLY taste

  • what a hero, and with enough taste to figure out that slave labor was the only efficient thing to do.

it was the RIGHT thing to do. For the shareholders. Cause if you justify doing it for the shareholders, then you had no choice.

The shareholders need us! these aren't slaves! they're volunteers see? SEE?!?!

  • Reminds me of the new commercials for the Samsung Galaxy S. With the sensitive metrosexual white urbanites lining up in front of the Apple Store with their sticker-covered laptops and skinny jeans to receive their ration of Cool Points each time a new iPhone comes out. "Me? Not buy Apple? Not gonna happen. *snorts derisively* I'm too creative..."

  • You're talking about taste? you didn't even change your operating system's interface since 2001! at least i could customize my windows

  • @irmesia Yeah they did..... they didnt completely change it because it was beautiful. Windows XP looked like **** so they changed it completely, windows vista failed in functionality and interface so they had to change that as well.

  • @88multiblade Yeah right! with their stupid task bar that looks like a piece of ****! besides windows xp's interface is better besides at least you can customize windows COMPLETELY!

  • You fucking tell them Steve

  • I don't think you guys realise the irony of this statement? He's saying if it weren't for the Mac, Microsoft wouldn't be successful.....well hold up, wasn't Steve Jobs the one who asked, if not pleaded Bill Gates to write killer apps for the Mac when he wanted to release it to compete with IBM.

Furthermore, he complains about Microsoft not being original? PLEASE STEVE, WHY DON'T YOU GO TO XEROX AND MILK IDEAS OFF OF THEM.....oh wait...

  • I have used both Apple and Microsoft. I feel much more freedom using Microsoft products than Apple's

  • Better to have no taste than closed systems

  • That is so damn true. I havent seen a product by Microsoft in at least 10, maybe 20 years that isnt a direct ripoff of something else (except Kinect)

  • @johnnyk427 Kinect is a ripoff of Eye Toy from PS2. lol

  • @johnnyk427 There are Zune, Wp7, Windows, Office, etc lol I do get what you are saying though but now they are starting to coming back to the consumers' market

  • @chltmdwp zune: iPod ripoff (failed). WP7: iPhone ripoff (failed) Windows: > 20 years ago (but still a ripoff of Apple!) Office: Also > 20 years ago.

  • @johnnyk427 Hold on, I love my iPhone but it's early to call WP7 a failure. Now WinMo, that was a failure.

  • mid-nineties Steve Jobs :) ... RIP

  • This is the Steve I will miss

  • "Microsoft has no taste" Wow look whos talking steve. How about you wear some different clothes than what you wear the same clothes everytime you go outside?

  • @chltmdwp How about you shut the fuck up?

  • @EngMSO Wait is this Steve Jobs? If not nigga please.

  • @chltmdwp

His neutral wardrobe was part of a corporate image, and it worked to great effect. It was to assure attention was on what he was saying instead of wearing. You must have ADD pretty bad if you're STILL distracted by it.

If he was the CEO of Giorgio Armani, you'd have a point. He sold visionary technology. He wasn't going to appear "in the box" with a collar and a tie like the old IBM image and Bill Gates.

The proof of the pudding is in the eating. Job's image got results.

  • @TheJediCharles So pretty much he is saying to the public that hes got no swag and all the ceo's shouldn't have their swags on huh?

  • @chltmdwp

    "Got no swag?"

He had so much class, poise, confidence, and style that he didn't need to rely on a wardrobe to do it for him.

CEOs that wear their money and are afraid to be seen without their social status being apparent below their necks say a lot about themselves.

  • @chltmdwp Read his biography. He wanted a signature look. Wearing a suit and tie like an executive moron is not taste.

  • Though I kinda hate Apple, I love this clip. And best part is sounded like sour grapes at time, but he was ultimately vindicated. Hail Jobs!

  • For the most part

  • ouch I am not even bill gates but I got bruised by that

  • Decades later and they still have no taste or class.

  • @fartybumholes Yep. Jobs has no class.

  • @radicalgarbage02 Clearly you were educated (in particular reading comprehension) using Microsoft software. My sense of humour was formed after using Microsoft Edutainment.

  • @fartybumholes lol wut? u mad r wut bro?

  • you can think that apple is pure evil and that jobs was a monster but this line rings so true. apple rarely if ever made distasteful products whereas Microsoft and pc makers make tacky stuff all the time.

  • @fartybumholes I think it would be better to say that decades later, Microsoft has color personalization and the main color theme in Mac's is gray.

  • it is almost like his snooty is passed along with mac :P!

  • @nitro300 How did you survive into your 30s being so utterly stupid? You should sell your mother's trailer & hire a lawyer to sue whatever school failed to educate you. No punctuation, no grammar, no common sense, no perspective, no ability to make a single point coherently. And if you check, Microsoft lost tons of money on the xbox because it had major overheating issues. Why? Because it was badly designed. And it's ugly. But all it is is a PC board, power supply and a hard drive - for idiots.

  • did u guys no steve jobs is a homo?

  • @MrWaeseL How do you know? Cause you're a homo and you have homo ESP?

  • All you do is use Budget components put it in a computer with cheap graphics and use good icons on the desktop to make a Mac look Like a Mac. News Flash Mac OS X is not even completely Apple. Darwin Unix is what it has on Offer. OpenGL, Gutenprint and a whole bunch of Open source Software. Mac OS X is stable because of UNIX not cuz Steve Jobs made it !!!! This guy does'nt even know programming. Ask him what is Spaghetti Code., He won't know I will bet one months Salary

  • Dude Shut up, 3rd grade software ??? Windows XP came out in what 2002-03. I bet still 60% of PC users use it on an arbitrary types of Hardware configs. If you call that kind of software which ruled the PC market for 8 Yrs straight !! then I think you can put a finger in your nose and call your self a clown !!!. What Apple does is Sell Consumer Electronics, they are definitely not a great Software Firm

  • Is this guy serious? Definitely, because making products that consist of one shape (rectangular), one color (white), and one generalized idea is the most original thing in the world. This guy introduced the iPad, which does nothing different from the iTouch and iPhone because he found a way to deceive millions of people into buying a product that does absolutely nothing different than the product they already have. So fucking original...

  • @mxlevi456 the funny thing was gates gave him the idea for the ipad jobs descriptions is let me take another mans idea and take all the glory for it.

  • @nitro300 Apple's first tablet was in 1979 dumbass. Long before MS existed as an OS. Jobs didn't get the idea from Gates you moron, it was vice versa. Apple produced three different tablet form factors before MS released its first one. Jesus, MS fanboys are so stupid.

  • @christschool

well said, you have to put these idiots on a seat.

  • @christschool

also watch this video, you will see where the ipad came from: /watch?v=jdbvAdINPPA

  • @nitro300 Actually the All Things D interview you're referring to is from 2007, AFTER the multitouch tablet had been made by Apple.

  • Steve jobs your an idiot if you believe that. Microsoft builds an OS made to pretty much run on thousands of different hardware configurations with few bugs and have goten incrediblly good at it since windows 7. You make your hardware work for your OS ..meaning you design the hardware the os runs on and the os.. and this is why Microsoft is better than you.. they push the envelope and you drag your ass and take a short cut throw a brand on it andcarge 500% more than its worth.. FUCK YOU!

  • yep, making software where you can write pages of information or make presentation are distasteful

  • I don't get it...Microsoft wouldn't have proportionately spaced fonts if Mac hadn't done it first? How is that again?

  • @joesnotdead Because before windows it was just dos and a black screen and all the same letters and then Apple released OS X and Microsoft copied the interface completely.

  • @Thycid Not to sound like 'that one stupid linux guy' but linux created the idea of the desktop interface. It was years of open source that eventually cumulated into the idea of icons to translate to terminal commands and a graphical file system. Mac took that idea (they technically had the right to take it, even though claiming they thought of it is BS). Then Windows saw Mac being successful and copied them. However, Windows didn't so much copy Apple as they copied Linux. It's one big copy-fest

  • @CurrentWeb Actually Xerox created the first graphic user interface for the Xerox PARC OS in the early 70's, I never said in my post that Apple was the first. But...if you look at the Xerox PARC OS it was not very user friendly. No one achieved success in a personal computer for consumers until the early Mac OS came along and if you look at Windows 1.0 side by side with System 1.0, if Windows wasn't color, you almost couldn't even tell the difference between the two.

  • @Thycid "No one achieved success in a personal computer for consumers until the early Mac OS came along"

Not true. Right after the Lisa and before Macontosh, IBM came out with it's PC, which ran on DOS, and over took the market. After the first year, the Mac didn't even do very well in the market place. All the PCs we use now are the children of the IBM, that's why you used to always hear about a computer being "IBM compatiable" and there are still way more PCs than Macs.

  • @Yobachi2007 You know what i actually mistyped that, as i meant to say, no one achieved success in a personal computer for consumers using a graphical user interface until the early mac os came along. Yes you are right before the mac, IBM was a successful personal computer using a command line interface

  • Ungrateful idiot

  • 0:12 apple lag!

  • this shows that Steve Jobs mellowed out a hell of alot since then.

  • hypocrite!!

  • hes always so fucking angry i hate him

  • Quite honestly I think you guys are ripping the public blind as most people see an apple for it's pretty shapes and not what it's really made of. I do think apple has some great apps for editing music videos and art, but the machines are of not the best quality and the prices, well you should really consider Japan as your assembler, at least they take pride in their work, so for the 2- 10K that you guys charge per machine, I'm sure you can fund Japan for building them.

  • @syndrome666 How did you learn to talk out of your rear end? It's a neat party trick I'm sure, but every sentence comes out really retarded. Just an observation from someone who is a designer and an engineer - who just happens to know what he's talking about.

  • @G58 >implying you know what you are talking about just because you are a engineer

  • @skullpile666 No. I know what I'm talking about because I'm not dumb. Also, I'm AN engineer and A designer. And I knew how to write correctly long before I was your age.

  • don't know steve, today you guys pay China a few bucks to make millions of electronics and make a killing of of them, meanwhile the people that put your products together earn a few cents or a few dollars a day. Now tell me, how does one put a good product together with cheap labor? Apple still hasn't gotten the ratio correctly, looks come last, as they aren't as important. It's Quality to value to functionality, well apple's quality sucks, value is through the roof, and functions not always.

  • @syndrome666 almost every company assembles in china or generally far in the east. get your facts right
