I really think that she should have explained that it was the national anthem BEFORE or AFTER the song was actually played. I think it was a bit disrespectful to this great country.
I think the orchestra should have stood during the rendition of the Australian National Anthem. They were in Australia, before an Australian audience and most, if not all, of the audience was standing. In the United States, for example, when the National Symphony plays the Star-Spangled Banner, it stands. Still, it was a very stirring rendition, accompanied by an enthusiastic sing-a-long

It is an abomination that this horrid woman has interrupted a sacred Australian anthem with her German drivel. Australians have perished on the field of battle singing that hallowed tune.
