@Aspergianstar2009 Most people make these sequences with After Effects, my vortex's are rendered in 3ds Max so Its not really a trick of the cam or anything.

@Wengl3 Yeah, this video was six months after I picked up 3ds max... I dunno where I got the idea for the debris like that, and It came out decent. I wish I had as much control of 3ds max back then as I do now... Ive thought of revisiting this title sequence... perhaps some day soon!

@ManservantPablo Its all the other stuff. I like that the clouds are a tad displaced. The titanic! The colours. I've seen things like your Dalek saucers and Back to the Future car models thrown in. It looks choreographed to look disorganized, it looks more... believable for the Tardis flight.

@hyacinthdibley 3ds max with Afterburn/Krakatoa generated the rotating vortex.

@hombrerelents yeah, I wanted to do something outside the box... different, and complicated to do. I concepted the vortex winding off in different directions... Of course because I am a noob, the end result looked MUCH different than my original idea, Im pretty happy with the result.

@TheAorton 3ds max, adobe Premier. Afterburn and final render.

@TheAorton 3ds max modeled and animated the tardis. Afterburn is a plugin that made the clouds. Final Render is the render engine which I used to render to an image sequence. Premier is what I used to put it all together with sound and make it a video.

@TheAorton Put it this way... No. Movie maker is basically for editing clips together. It doesnt have the tools needed to composite them properly, and doesnt give you any real good export options. Movie maker is pure shit.

This one has been immensely popular, so I plan to revisit it in the future, update the tardis model, and hopefully tweak the vortex a bit... When I do that, I will make sure to release the elements for the video!
