I guess it is hard to forgive the guy who split the votes and you could pretty much say is ultimately responsible for George W Bush winning his first term.
No, that is a lie. Nader and Gore both have shown that rumor to be false. Only partisan "liberals" and antagonizing conservatives will repeat that dogma. Gore lost for a number of reasons, mainly because he sucked. Clinton/Gore killed 500,000 children in Iraq with sanctions.
More Florida Dems voted for Bush than all of Naders voters in Florida. Quit focusing on one scenario. Gore could have won other states like his home state. Mainly his campaign just sucked. Nader is entitled to run according to the Constitution. There is no stealing of votes in a democracy where voters consent to vote for one candidate over another.

The people of America cry out for equal rights, fair standard of living, no more war, no more corporate exploitation, no more government corruption... they cry for a hero to save them... Then a Hero appears, a Man among puppets and he says to them "You are your own salvation! Salvation lays with the people!" ... and they turn away scornfully thinking "we asked for a someone to save us... not for us to save ourselves!"

If it gets more people, incl reagan babies etc to learn more about this True American Hero Mike Gravel!! we'll be in good shape after all! Otherwise I'm afraid we'll sink
I like the video overall, though I think you tried to push to much information into too small a space - if you look at successful campaigns and campaign ads, they all have an essentially simple message that is endlessly repeated - I don't think this video does anything other than preach to the converted - and perhaps confuse the unconverted.
That's quite possible. Television encourages extremely short, soundbyte statements. It's one of the main problems with 30 second spots in general... not enough substance to really get a feel for it all.
I weep when I watch Gravel weep over those deaths. This man profoundly changed my life when he did this for my peers. He did more than any other politican in my lifetime to make America better.
I loved it when Kucinich brought up the Pentagon papers when asked what he liked about the candidate on his left. The look on everyone elses faces on the stage was, "Oh Christ Dennis, why'd you have to bring that up!"
He has caught my eye, I have little confidence in Hilary or Obama and certainly anyone running on the Republican ticket during a time like this when we need diplomacy, not greedy sharks, running our country and affecting the reputation.
Agreed. Although I think Ron Paul is a good man and I'm confident that he would repair a lot of the damage. But Gravel is more progressive and seems like his soulful strength would take the country further in the long run.
You mean you can actually do something productive by filibustering? You mean it's not just for show??? This is where Mike's gravitas distinguishes himself from the wannabees and why the others are so frightened of being on the same podium with him. Stop and Think -- what are they afraid of??? Change, fundamental change that will throw gravel into decades of a system run amok! We need Mike more than ever!
Mike Gravel had virtually nothing to do with the end of the draft. I'm not exactly sure why he's taking credit for any of it.

feel free to refute me. However, it is a very simple equation that anyone who understands simple math should be able to comprehend.

Ron Paul, Mike Gravel, and Dennis Kucinich need to work together.

What do you think about Ralph Nader being added to that list?

I myself am not impressed by Ralph, I like a FEW things he says, but generally am not impressed.

Too bad there are still sheeple that watch that lying fictional garbage!

I agree. Th reason why these companies make so much, is because we all support and watch them without realizing how much crap it all is.

This is a pretty good campaign video, except that the voice has to be louder.

Haha! I was wondering how he was going to answer that one. I was mad at first when he started addressing the host instead of Gravel.
