OMG! My 16h horse did this to me. We were going around a corner a little tight to get to the next jump and he slipped and bounced off his nose back to his feet. Hope you guys were all right! :)

My old pony triped like that in the middle of a dressage test at a show last year it was scary and we got a really bad mark on tht part of our test :P
That would be so scary! My lesson horse, Sporty, trips, and when he does, it is REALLY bad! Like if we're jumping, he'll trip INTO the jump, and crash through it. He's had his hooves, legs, back, teeth, and everything else checked, but he's fine. Trips can be really scary though!

You sat that very well! It didn't even look like he tripped! He just went down silly Chip! I'm glad you are both okay! Afterwards his look is like "Mom I'm so sorry!!" poor kid =( You like barely got lifted out of your seat!

Great job job keeping balanced! my horse did that on our second ride but instead of catching his balance he completely fell down and me over his head, i looked up and saw him sliding towards me and then I blinked and he was back up and standing there. I was so relieved he was able to stop from colliding into me. He had some skinned up knees thou. A great beginning to me and my horses partnership haha :)

whoa! that's scary! That happened to me the other day except the pony I was riding DID faceplant and flip over and land on top of me. I had SOOOO much dirt in my mouth I couldnt speak. xD and when she got up she stood on top of me. 950lb + falling and stepping on you really hurts the next day. I could hardly move!

Wow that was a nasty trip. But you did awesome to stay on like you did. You keeping your balance probably helped him right himself after he tripped.

your lucky! my horse did that once but couldn't regain his balance so i went head first into the ground & got a concussion. but its very scarrry!
