  • I'm installing these cobra slip ons on my vtx 1300 this weekend, added a k&N filter also, not rejetting and probably won't have to. Message me if you want to know how it turned out

  • How easy was installation? sounds good!

  • Thanks, I did not install them my self I had a shop do it because I also rejetted the carb and put a K&N filter on as well but from what I got from the guy working on it is that it was not to bad and it did not take him to long to install at all, but then again he works on bikes for a living.

  • Hey polo, why do you spread that nonsense? Burn a piston? lol. You really have no idea what you're talking about, do you?

    LOL. Burn a piston...

  • sweet pipes man---got the same-cant beat sound and looks for the money!!

  • You don't have to rejet. With just pipes there is no need at all. You didn't change the amount of air being pulled into the engine, only the amount exiting. Rejetting will do nothing but burn more fuel. You clearly don't know what you're talking about here. Why don't you do your homework before you go off on someone. And why don't you try clicking the more info button before you make an ass out of yourself in the future?

  • Now that make me LOL!!!!!!

  • Did you have to rejet after putting these on?

  • If you just put the mufflers on then not really you can get away with not doing the Jets,I did do the Jets but I also put a K&N air filter on at the same time so then it was a must to change the Jets

  • No rejet required if you don't change the intake. You might need to adjust the air fuel screw. I've yet to see any pipes that truly require a rejet.

  • @VTXnME where is the air/fuel screw located on the 1300 c I have an 04 and it has cobras on it. It spudders a little on take off and on cold start I wonder if I can adjust the screw will it help it?

  • @Cambo212

The A/F screw is located on the underside of the carburetor near the bowl. It's got a "D" shaped head on it. I found a spent (used/fired/whatever) .22LR shell casing bent to fit work's great. I took mine out and slotted the A/F screw so future adjustments could be made with a flat blade screw driver.

  • What type of exhaust are they? They sound great!!!!

  • Sounds good can't wait for summer

  • I wish it was warm enough to go for a short ride today!!
