Hey Mate, In England our ribs are like a wire coat hanger compared to yours, Blimey Im off to the store to get some proper ribmeat and some spices, You boys know how to do it over there.
One word. Yummmmm! Tried this recipe with my new Dutch oven today. I was looking for an easy recipe. Couldn't be easier. Install veggies, install and season meat, sit back with a cold one and let this device do it's work! I put it on for an hour and a half with 15 coals on top and 10 on the bottom on a 14 inch oven. Ribs were fall off the bone. Let the ribs stew in the BBQ sauce for additional 20 minutes.
I was worried as I bought a cast iron kit from camping world for well.... camping...g
i'm dutch, we call that a 'braadpan' literally translated it means something like pot-roast-pan,, good to see our ruling the world has left some traces afterall :P
These are awesome! I cooked some country style ribs in my DO yesterday following your recipe and they were fantastic! I used a rib rub similar to the one you have and used KC masterpiece original recipe BBQ sauce. Man they were good! I cooked the ribs for 50 minutes before pouring off the grease and adding the BBQ sauce and went another 20 minutes. Next time I will go a full hour before adding the BBQ sauce. Ribs little tougher than I like. I used a 12" DO with 11 coals bottom about 22-24 on top
are you kidding me? Those looked awesome!

how would you alter this for Beef Ribs?
lha9310 1 year ago
@lha9310 You may need to add more oil or some water since beef ribs are usually leaner than pork. Other than that, I'd do it the same way
