Nancy Benoit was Kevin's ex-wife (she was "Woman" and "Fallen Angel") and the marriage fell apart when Kevin booked a match where if Benoit won, he would win her services for a month. While she was with Benoit, they became involved. Nancy Grace also tried to tie Sherri Martel's death to Sullivan as well, but as far as I know, that was all the product of some overactive imaginations (that and Nancy Grace is stark raving nuts).

Buzz Sawyer was a legit tough guy...Read the road stories...He got in a bar fight and a guy stuck a pistol in Sawyers mouth and Sawyer started laughing...The guy relaxed, Sawyer took the pistol away and almost killed the guy...Ivan Koloff traveled with him on the road too..He said Buzz was an ass kicker supreme...He was the Florida High School athlete of the year back in 1976...5'9'' and 250 and was a wrestling machine..

I am not saying he wasnt a great worker, in the early days, he was one of the promising up and comers. But he never reached his pinnacle, ridiculous promos and at best a a solid mid carder.

How much potential did Sullivan, Buzz Sawyer & Cactus Jack have as an out of control group of maniacs? Buzz Sawyer was also notorious for taking money to "train" wrestlers. The training consisted of Buzz Sawyer kicking the shit out of them & torturing them into quitting on day one. No refunds, if they asked he kicked their ass more. Most famou person this happened to was Undertaker. Undertaker talked shit for years, but then was in WCW with Sawyer...& didnt have it in him to do much about it!

Fan-friggin-tastic. Great match and EVEN BETTER PROMO!  This clip gets everything done...Sullivan and Sawyer get over like absolute lunatics, the crowd goes ape-shit, the announcers sell the rest of the show, and Ross and Cornette even sell the house show line-up for the rest of the week.

THAT'S how you do wrestling. Shows you how great WCW was back in the TBS days. I miss this.

I would always think, "Who would possibly buy this junk??!?!?" And Cornette must have thought the same thing, because I remember one night he kept mocking Zan Panzer by calling him "Zamphir Panflute!"
