This guy is lieing. Embryotic invetro stemm cells do not come for a real embryo in the mother. It comes from a test tube that will have the extra ones flushed down the toilet anyhow. They have to be less than an 8 cell mass.That;s 3 divisions of the cell, after that it is useless. And thousands are of cells are needed. Bush let them use the 10 that are left from 20 years ago. The churches are stopping the research. Jesus kills !
America has no bussiness in the area of stem cell research. It screws everything up in the first place so it needs to leave nature alone. Leave this procedure to the more prominant countries like England.

Second, if you are talking about murder, that is exactly is what is happening when you destroy an embryo. And finally, do you know how many innocent civilians (men, women & children) saddam murdered? If there was a fire in a lab with embryos, who do you save? The scientists or the embryos? The people of course since embryos have no identity to save.

However, if you have either read or researched anything about ESCR you will know that it hasn't produced one, even one cure for anything, whereas, ASCR has. As for a fire in a lab,,,if it's severe enough to cause the deaths of walking humans, the ESC's are already dead.
I dont think so,lot of frozen embryo are just threw away, so why dont we use them for research? plus we kill animals and they have more life then an embryo! We have to support also adult stem cells! But someone wants to slow down the progress expecially the US. If stem cells work like they are already demostrating then lot of medicines industry will close coz this new natural medicine. America is loosing its leadership in research! Stem cell will be used very soon 2 years from now!

Guess it depends on the translation. My king james version says thou shalt not kill but it could easily be a mistranslation. Of course yours could be the mistranslation to.
There are at least 30 different translations of the bible. There are even 3 different translations that call themselves the King James version. So again which version. The hebrew for though shalt not murder can also be translated as though shalt not kill so depending on which translation. I own a copy of the New international version and it does say murder but I was raised on the King James version so that is what I know best.
The King Version is one of the translations. You need to go back to when this commandment was written. It is very clear ,,, It does not say kill it says Murder.

You aren't listening are you. The hebrew words for thou shalt not kill and thou shalt not murder ARE THE SAME. Both are right but as for which is intendend that is anyones guess unless you have a time machine to go back and ask them.

trol & yam - Did you not listen to the video? Please read the 1995 Dickey Amendment, first. Then tell us what mr clinton accomplished in this area of research. Besides all of that, ESCR has not proven to be a very viable cure for anything.
I think its hilarious how he keeps saying the president has spent more money than any other president.... He's the only president whose had the real oportunity to deal with the issue!!!!

Olstar - The correct translation is not KILL,,, It is MURDER. And the Bible is the translated version. Hope that answered your question
