@dielawnz your doing something wrong. As soon as a phoenix spawns you have to kill it then an EGG will spawn where you killed it. You have to kill the egg if you don't another phoenix will spawn.

This fight is bugged right now, so don't bother wasting your time trying it. The staff buff currently isn't working...and yes, I am equipping and using it, not just equipping it. I kill the staff in phase 2, equip it, right click it and see the buff show up. Yet when phase 3 starts all the stun/fear/etc. spells hit me anyway and I end up having to FD or wipe. This is extremely frustrating as I spent a bit of time and gold figuring out the fight up to that point.
just screwed it up .. :( i was there 20 minutes a go with a healer and i couldnt kill the damn weapons before he ress the 4 NPC's . i really want that mount so bad .. and believe me next week if i can manage that .. ill get a full raid members for it xD .

I like how his strategy is "just kill them" without telling you and cutting out the video of it entirely. Completely worthless. Don't follow this guide.

having trouble after kael rezzes his council im usually killed and i easily aggro even with MD/multi. Usually hit by the guys knockback I think though that he can be switched back to youre pet if you FD correct me if im wrong plse reply thx
FOR PPL HAVING TROUBLE WITH REMOTE TOY: While fighting the mage after he comes , drop a snake trap just where he stands , that , while using deterrance after the >3rd< bomb he shots since he pops = almost 100% chances he will use Remote toy on one of the many snakes or in your pet!
Hardest fight i ever had to solo! tryed this on saturday for pretty much the entire day.. I have had some unlucky fails like staff despawning because phase4 was taking too long (marksman) or having my pet frozen behind the statue with keal pounding on him. No matter how many times i clicked on attack it simply would just stand there. Gave up at midnight, went there again on sunday and took me only 3 tries! Once i found the perfect spot for pet and raid marked it (VERY HELPFUL) he went down.
I wasn't able to do it all by myself but I did it with anther hunter and anther time with a shamen. Helps a lot. Same tacit just one or two more peeps.
This is almost impossible. the 3rd phase where all 4 spawn is bs... they will knock and cc uure pet away 24/7, either giving u all aggro since pet is cced or despawn pet cuz its knocked too far away from you, and when u call him again it takes quite a while to get pet back to 100% aggro and ure probably alraedy dead before the pet gets it. And if u feign death, even with pet up they fight will reset.
I dunno what gear you have but if you have anything close to firelands normal difficulty gear it's really not hard. You only get knocked back far away from your pet if you let Thaladred get close to you. If it happens you can choose which direction you will be knocked into and make him knock him towards your pet. You can also deterrence avoid it. If your pet starts getting far away while kiting Thaladred then call him back to you (put it on passive) or set it on Thaladred instead.
Using deterance to negate Remote Toy doesnt work. If used at the beginning it will be on CD for the effect at the end of the fight. If used at the end then it will be on CD for using during the second Counsilor phase. If the staff is suppose to negate this STUN effect then it doesnt not work. I was CC to death multiple times because I had nothing to stop the Remote Toy debuff from stunning me multiple times every minute.
It does work but not every time. I 1 shotted it and didn't get remote toy last week and I didn't get remote toy on my 1st couple of tries this week either but on my next 2 tries I did get remote toy.... It just seems a bit random but i'm not sure why.
If you do get remote toy just dismiss pet and feign to reset it and try again.
Okay, that whole advisor 'easy' phase..is not easy. My pet does not keep aggro, MD and FD is not enough...they will ALWAYS come after me. The melee dudes will not leave me alone, I get sent flying backwards, my pet gets sent flying so hes out of range for a heal, I get the stun thing put on me and thats a minute wasted....seriously....how the hell did you do this? I tried your methods and there is something your not telling us. I can't do anythign if Im being attacked and I can't keep em off me.
@Steelix123 you're suppose to equip and use the staffs ability, its not one of those ones you just equip and it works, thats why the 1 minute stun debuf was working
Normally I just nuke down capernian and just let the engineer hit me. She's normally dead way before thaladred gets to me. 1 kill command on Sanguinar will keep him on your pet if you aren't attacking him and then as soon as mage is down send pet onto engineer and do a kill command on him. Don't bother trying to get pet to tank thaladred just kite him around till hes dead while your pet tanks the other 2.... but make sure you don't go too far from pet or it will auto dismiss.
Thanks so much for this guide. I tried this way back in January or something as Survival spec but struggled to get the weapons down and even when I did i'd often get caught by the mind control. Followed the guide to the letter just now and 1 shotted it with no problems at all. Only slight scare is that I forgot to equip the staff so got disorient effects etc when the 4 adds came back to life.
Just wish i'd looked at this 2 weeks ago because I led a group in there and lost the mount roll by ONE!

Once 5.0 comes out you won't be able to use the staff anymore, still soloable but its going to get very annoying with remote toy. Although by that time you may be level 90 in xpac making KT much much easier at that level.
You ask a friend if you can invite them to a raid and then you enter.. they don't need to enter the raid or even be online as long as they stay in the group with you while you are inside.
I would say that this is one of the hardest solo fights i have managed to try, still nearly everytime i fail, reset, go again, fail reset, and then after an hour or so i finally get him down... just hate all the time i need to use 4 retry and retry and retry
Seems there's been a fix somehow. Now Kael'thas is released on a timer; not nessesarily after the last waves are dead. Was doing two of his leutenants, and he became active. - Tried again, still having the damn bulwark up, when fighting the engineer in the end of p4... Kael'thas still woke up.
im having trouble in the 4 assitant phase, i cant seem to get them all on my pet everytime i MD they and feign they will continue to come at me as if i never used feign or MD... its the only issue im having.
Agro is fine, just chain MD it, just did it for the first time as MM.
Piss easy, like Kripp says, be patient with MCs, its the only thing that really wiped me a couple of times, that and the clunky as fuck go to command that didn't want to work a couple of time during transition.

Personally, I enjoy my pet not doing ANYTHING in the MC phase at all, making it almost impossible to not get healing aggro. But the thing where the weapons suddenly fixate me also isn't that bad.
I rather give some random scrubs 30k gold in case of a drop than wiping to that shit only one more time. Even though its only my 2nd hunter...
When i reach the last phase, the boss always nuke me instead of my pet even though my pet had aggro wtf. Did they fix it or what. He said last phase is the easiest part, but i keep getting fireballed to death by the boss. Does he pick the fireball taget at random?
Cant do it been trying for bout 2 hours now. The problem i have is in the weapon phase. Not sure what im doing wrong but aggro seems to be completly random. Yes i can get my turtle to tank them all for a little bit and i ikeep using multishots with MD but somehow aggro keeps resetting and im the one who ends up tanking the swords. Very frustating, am i the only one with this problem?
@mephitol that didn't happen to me, i don't know if this is your problem but on that phase do you have your pet set to defensive while your attacking the staff and the bow?
Recently I got MCd during the last phase, when he was in the air. Geez, what luck, huh.
Thx for making the video, it has helpful and wise information that saved me time (and repair gold) while learning the fight.
I do not think BM is god's gift to this fight however. For solo stuff I use a funny MM spec with 3/3 Hunter Vs Wild and 2/2 Spirit Bond. The self-heals incl. Chimera shot's heal coming out of that are very strong. Kill command works as MM of course, and pet surviveability is fine.
I farm this boss weekly with my hubby as 2 druids (I am resto he's bear) yesterday the fight was sooo glitchy he spawned 5 freaking birds at one point and he constantly disoriented both of us. My saff (the one you loot) disappeared from me and wasn't to be found in my bags in p3! We just did not mind the birds and focused on him when he was 3 % hp with 6 birds spawned at once. I told my hubby "he better drop 2 birds" cause the whole fight was horribly glitchy. No mount of course
@Warunho The problem this video doesn't tell you about is there is some pathing issues with your pet behind the statue, i would recommend putting your pet a bit outwards towards the statue where pathing isn't as buggy. I would actually try to mess around with it for a bit before you pull kael.
@Warunho This happens to me now and then, the pet glitches out. It can happen pretty much anywhere around the base of the statue. The last time it happened I was able to dismiss the pet, deterrence while calling it back, wait a few seconds so that the pet's health pool would normalize, and then put him back on Kael and feign.
It was worse when the pet glitched into the wall and I couldn't heal it. Putting the pet on follow and passive warped him to me, but it wasn't pretty.
Congrats on this. I don't understand how though, I am unable to feigh death at all. Active threat on the pet (not only MD threat), regardless of phase or adds, if I feign death, it resets and pet runs back to me like nothing every happened. I can even do nothing, the pet doing all the damage, and I feign, it resets. Makes it difficult to follow a "how to" guide when your encounter and my encounter behave in different ways :(
@ohnoezitsjoez Maybe this will help. If my pet is under the effects of one of the disorient/stuns in there, and I feign, I've seen that the encounter will despawn. If I want to feign during the add phases, I have to check and make sure the pet is behaving normally. This can mean kiting around until I see that the pet is back to normal and then getting that feign in there quickly.
@hoskuldur666 that could be it I suppose, it slipped my mind about disorients etc causes mobs to switch to me, thus despawning when I feign to try and put them back on my turtle. I guess I am getting too far away from my turtle and he is losing the staff buff and ends up with conflagration or something. Its irritating!

@moonwolf19 just worry about your pet getting threat on the engineer and sanguinar, thaladred doesn't really have a threat table and Caperian you can just dps her down yourself
I am having the exact same problem. I have the turtle specced as stated I put the trap and md multishot the mob and still 2-3 mob come straight towards me. I fd kill the staff. md again and start on the mob and after a couple of shots I manage to pull agro off its getting frustrating because I cant pin point wth is happening.

It's worth mentioning the reason your pet can take a lot of damage in the last phase is if it's too close to kael during gravity lapse, kael stacks "nether vapor"debuff and each tic reduces health by 10% up to 9 stacks. Was pretty pissed the 1st time I had kael at 20% and saw my pet just got 1 shotted by a fireball because it had 90% reduced health. Apparently the nether vapor is supposed to stack on you by touching black clowds when in the air, but it's not working correctly with pets
Just a little update on this. When you MD sometimes ( most of the time ) the mobs will NOT go to your pet, even with the glyph. Also if you feign death for ANY reason , even if the pet has aggro ...it resets the fight. They probably changed it so we hunters couldnt solo it. Post patch 4.2. When you have time, mind testing it again with the current patch?
@vamtheanomaly Works fine with me, the encounter will reset if at least 1 mob does not have any threat on your pet at all. So make sure at least they all have some kind of threat to your pet
@Disast3rz Ive tried and tried dude...My pvp gear is higher level and quality than my pve set and i just cant get stuff down fast enough. The closest Ive come was all weapons down...then 3 advisors down then kael got in it and MC'd me before i had a chance to get behind the pillar.
This must be fixed, MD doesnt work on the 4 adds that resurrect after weapons die. They keep nuking me and they nuke hard when they are all after me cause my pet doesnt get aggro, even tho I nuke hard with MD on my pet. :/

ive been trying this as well, and is it just me or does anyone elses pet get all glitchy as soon as it gets to the statue? mine keeps freezing, cant move, use moves, anything.
ya spent about 5 hours today gettin raped on by flash 3000% aggro and then my pet teleporting thru the statue and getting me MCed. I HATE the way pets are working my pet attack macro barely functions assist is garbage and now MD threat fades!

I tried this today but the Staff buff does not work at all, I use the staff and sure enough I have the buff on me but despite that I still get CC'ed into oblivion. Makes no sense.
I try this, but impossible to use the staff : in macro, on the bar, in the equipement by clic : nothing is going on. (yes, the staff was equipped). So impossible to survive, due to the debuff of the hunt :/ There is anything to know about the use of the staff ?
@Williamricci our multi-shots are pretty crappy compared to back then so yeah... just blow CDs keep MD up, i'm up to p4 but can't seem to kill off sanguinar fast enough and 1 fear is enough to screw everything up

Once 5.0 comes out you won't be able to use the staff anymore, still soloable but its going to get very annoying with remote toy. Although by that time you may be level 90 in xpac making KT much much easier at that level.

You ask a friend if you can invite them to a raid and then you enter.. they don't need to enter the raid or even be online as long as they stay in the group with you while you are inside.

Yes, but i've got like full 391 gear, so it's no problem for me.
I also did it with full 372 gear.
It is possible man. Just bring every buff you can, and keep doing it until u kill him.
My first try I had like 20 attempts until I finally killed him.

I would say that this is one of the hardest solo fights i have managed to try, still nearly everytime i fail, reset, go again, fail reset, and then after an hour or so i finally get him down... just hate all the time i need to use 4 retry and retry and retry

Seems there's been a fix somehow. Now Kael'thas is released on a timer; not nessesarily after the last waves are dead. Was doing two of his leutenants, and he became active. - Tried again, still having the damn bulwark up, when fighting the engineer in the end of p4... Kael'thas still woke up.

Agro is fine, just chain MD it, just did it for the first time as MM.
Piss easy, like Kripp says, be patient with MCs, its the only thing that really wiped me a couple of times, that and the clunky as fuck go to command that didn't want to work a couple of time during transition.

@Hoskuldur666 I can think of any other reason either, but kinda amazed that ''tiny'' bit of healing would overaggro 3 multishot's and my pet's thunderstump.
Anyway i've decided to farm kael with my cousin and his holy pala. Makes things quite a bit easier :p
Guess im just not playing my hunter well enough yet, compliments to all the guys who do manage to solo kael:)

easy fight my ass... so much random bug shit popping up in every attempt, it is hardly worth it.
Personally, I enjoy my pet not doing ANYTHING in the MC phase at all, making it almost impossible to not get healing aggro. But the thing where the weapons suddenly fixate me also isn't that bad.
I rather give some random scrubs 30k gold in case of a drop than wiping to that shit only one more time. Even though its only my 2nd hunter...

When i reach the last phase, the boss always nuke me instead of my pet even though my pet had aggro wtf. Did they fix it or what. He said last phase is the easiest part, but i keep getting fireballed to death by the boss. Does he pick the fireball taget at random?

Cant do it been trying for bout 2 hours now. The problem i have is in the weapon phase. Not sure what im doing wrong but aggro seems to be completly random. Yes i can get my turtle to tank them all for a little bit and i ikeep using multishots with MD but somehow aggro keeps resetting and im the one who ends up tanking the swords. Very frustating, am i the only one with this problem?

Recently I got MCd during the last phase, when he was in the air. Geez, what luck, huh.
Thx for making the video, it has helpful and wise information that saved me time (and repair gold) while learning the fight.
I do not think BM is god's gift to this fight however. For solo stuff I use a funny MM spec with 3/3 Hunter Vs Wild and 2/2 Spirit Bond. The self-heals incl. Chimera shot's heal coming out of that are very strong. Kill command works as MM of course, and pet surviveability is fine.

I farm this boss weekly with my hubby as 2 druids (I am resto he's bear) yesterday the fight was sooo glitchy he spawned 5 freaking birds at one point and he constantly disoriented both of us. My saff (the one you loot) disappeared from me and wasn't to be found in my bags in p3! We just did not mind the birds and focused on him when he was 3 % hp with 6 birds spawned at once. I told my hubby "he better drop 2 birds" cause the whole fight was horribly glitchy. No mount of course

When I do this, my turtle refuses to attack Kael'thas and he does Pyroblast through the statue and kills me. How do I avoid this?

@Warunho The problem this video doesn't tell you about is there is some pathing issues with your pet behind the statue, i would recommend putting your pet a bit outwards towards the statue where pathing isn't as buggy. I would actually try to mess around with it for a bit before you pull kael.

@Warunho This happens to me now and then, the pet glitches out. It can happen pretty much anywhere around the base of the statue. The last time it happened I was able to dismiss the pet, deterrence while calling it back, wait a few seconds so that the pet's health pool would normalize, and then put him back on Kael and feign.
It was worse when the pet glitched into the wall and I couldn't heal it. Putting the pet on follow and passive warped him to me, but it wasn't pretty.

Congrats on this. I don't understand how though, I am unable to feigh death at all. Active threat on the pet (not only MD threat), regardless of phase or adds, if I feign death, it resets and pet runs back to me like nothing every happened. I can even do nothing, the pet doing all the damage, and I feign, it resets. Makes it difficult to follow a "how to" guide when your encounter and my encounter behave in different ways :(

@ohnoezitsjoez Maybe this will help. If my pet is under the effects of one of the disorient/stuns in there, and I feign, I've seen that the encounter will despawn. If I want to feign during the add phases, I have to check and make sure the pet is behaving normally. This can mean kiting around until I see that the pet is back to normal and then getting that feign in there quickly.

I guess I am getting too far away from my turtle and he is losing the staff buff and ends up with conflagration or something. Its irritating!

I highly recommend using a spirit beast over a turtle. My spirit beast can tank just as good and has 2 big advantages over the turtle:
1. Another heal that can not only be used on the pet but on yourself as well
2. Roar of Courage adds 549 Agility which can be a nice dps boost especially when force to have that legendary staff equipped
If you decide to do this just remember to spec that spirit beast more for surviving and tanking.

I am having the exact same problem. I have the turtle specced as stated I put the trap and md multishot the mob and still 2-3 mob come straight towards me. I fd kill the staff. md again and start on the mob and after a couple of shots I manage to pull agro off its getting frustrating because I cant pin point wth is happening.

It's worth mentioning the reason your pet can take a lot of damage in the last phase is if it's too close to kael during gravity lapse, kael stacks "nether vapor"debuff and each tic reduces health by 10% up to 9 stacks. Was pretty pissed the 1st time I had kael at 20% and saw my pet just got 1 shotted by a fireball because it had 90% reduced health. Apparently the nether vapor is supposed to stack on you by touching black clowds when in the air, but it's not working correctly with pets

Just a little update on this. When you MD sometimes ( most of the time ) the mobs will NOT go to your pet, even with the glyph. Also if you feign death for ANY reason , even if the pet has aggro ...it resets the fight. They probably changed it so we hunters couldnt solo it. Post patch 4.2. When you have time, mind testing it again with the current patch?

@vamtheanomaly Works fine with me, the encounter will reset if at least 1 mob does not have any threat on your pet at all. So make sure at least they all have some kind of threat to your pet

This must be fixed, MD doesnt work on the 4 adds that resurrect after weapons die. They keep nuking me and they nuke hard when they are all after me cause my pet doesnt get aggro, even tho I nuke hard with MD on my pet. :/
