Blood is much better than Doom and is the best Build engine game of the big four. Even the mapeditor is very advanced!

I'm really glad I was lazy and waited to look for a let's play now instead of a week or so ago, I would've missed this.

Is this game as good as it looks? It reminds me alot of Doom, and that game was great, but I'd like to know your thoughts.

Out of the four major Build-engine games (Duke Nukem 3D, Blood, Redneck Rampage, and Shadow Warrior), I think this is the best one by far.

In the grand scheme of first-person shooters? Even though a lot of people probably won't agree with me, I think it ranks right up there with Doom.

I agree with you on that. It still stands out as unique compared to recent FPSs. I'm not sure if anyone would be interested in making a sequel to Blood II, but they're gonna have to try very very hard to hit the right spot, even further than where 3DRealms were aiming at with DNF.

WOW EPIC FAIL on that last half yof your statement. They made a Blood 2 A long time ago it was called Blood 2 the Chosen. And it was pretty decent. the also released an expansion called the Nightmare Levels

please read my response to DracXBelmont and YES i want a Blood 3 but i dont see that happening as monolith has shifted to casual gaming hence why SiN Episodes never got continued I love the SiN series as well

Actually, the spirit meter comes into play when you come up to Cheogh, the Stone Gargoyle. His eye blasts are Spirit-based.

The first normal enemy to have spirit-based damage is the Phantasm in Episode 2.

Caleb's official art for Blood 2 looks much less dull compared to how he looks in Blood 1.
