I'm not a 'raw foodist' but I incorporate a lot more of it into my diet than before I learned about it....What I experienced is that butter and coconut oil give the best benefits when they're raw. Of course if it's also organic that's best, too. But if raw organic fats are not available at least make sure it's raw (or no heat over 115*F). Otherwise results can go the other way...on the "Liloumace' channel here there is a very good interview with Karyn Calabrese that discusses this topic.
I love me some butter. I also like to use coconut oil or coconut manna in place of butter; another fat that has now proven to be fabulous for us...in moderation of course, like all fats..
