The Monster 4.0 Ghz ( Overclocked Gaming Rig)

wow.. nice rig, but can i ask, does ghz help alot for games? I know its a crucial point in getting a new computer, because you cant exactly get a few hundred FPS on COD on a 1ghz computer, but is GHZ the thing to go for? I can choose between a sandybridge 2600k @ 5ghz, 12mb cache, or i can get a i7-3960X Extreme Edition @ 3.6ghz (if i but this one, ill overclock to 4.2ghz), with a 15mb cache, can someone help me out? im really mind-boggled in deciding..

sweet you got the same case as me. My rig is pretty much the same only I have a phenom2 x4 965 be oced to 4.2 ghz. I did use the zalman at first but I switched over to a corsair h50. Man that dropped my temps to 28 celcius idle very nice cooler
