So sad that its probably going to be sold, I say it can go either way on the flame war below. Write your own until your fluent enough that it is just a pure waste of time (and its monetary equivalent) and utilize the tools to their maximum potential...esp while they are still free.
linux does not have a cmd that is only windows. Linux uses shells that are actual programs that interact with the os and kernal. Windows uses the cmd as a virtual dos and altho you can make changes in the cmd it more of a show then anything.
Also since it seems you were talking about the colors or the them as you called it linux does not lock anything down. This means you have full control over the system. I have spent hours making multiple complete themes for linux and the shell.
shut up! The fucking thing was written for Sec Professionals etc. While your sitting their writing your own exploits, little Timmy was busy getting his CISSP certs and making a six figure income... It is good to write your own, but some of us are better at Web App Sec than actual b0f's. I know plenty of people who can write shellcode that don't even understand the OSI layer!!!
what is the big deal? there are always going to be different levels of hackers or security professionals (and that goes for any other profession as well). script kiddies, advanced script kiddies, hackers, crackers, expert hackers... it's what keeps things in balance.
not using metasploit is like not using car and going everywhere by foot(writing your own expploits when there already is one). try to not reinvent the wheel and show your muscles, it makes you pathetic.
no, I just love to save my time when there is a chance. keep wasting your time writing own exploits on well known vulnerabilities, that makes you real HACKER!!
I'm not talking NOT to write your own exploits, I'm talking about NOT writing your own exploit when there is already public one, does that make sense to you? I'm just talking about wasting time doing something what someone else already did. I write my own exploits for vulnerabilities that do not have public exploit, comprende?
there is no such thing as a reusable exploit if you're writing them on a daily basis. I doubt you even know what a buffer overflow is. The only thing reusable would be asm payloads and shit so i really have no idea what you're talking about by using public exploits to make your own explots? That would be like taking an apache exploit and using it on a FileZilla server.. it just doesnt work that way. Everyone commenting on this page is a fucking noob, its hilarious.
who is talking about reusing same exploit on different software? I never wrote that... when you are doing penetration testing, youre using SAME exploits pretty often; thats redusability; now it makes sense; einstein?
if you have a real job as a security analyst, you are right and i appologize. if you are a skid who hacks sites with vulns you find on milw0rm, and you mean scanning for vulns by 'using the SAME exploits pretty often' then you are a skid.

Hehe. You are complitly right :) But I am connected to quite big LAN network (about 200 users) and I found some old not protected Windows OS.

What OS are you using? I am unfamiliar but it appears to be a linux distro, but the toolbar at the bottom indicates masked Windows Operating System?

No you don't, you say you do. Typical skiddie, if I fired up Damn Vulnerable Linux, and left it open you couldn't write an exploit for any of it
xXECL1PS3Xx 2 years ago
whatever, you're right, absolutely in everything. even in things you are about to say in future. congratulations. you can now stop being a retard.

Thanks, skiddie

you're welcome.

actually writing your own exploit to a well known vulnerability is more acceptable because you actually learn something about it
FireXware 2 years ago
if you're learning in security stuff, it's always better, when you write exploits on daily basis, it's not. time == money
recrof 2 years ago
