Personally I would suggest reading the manga because the Manga is more emotional than the manga. The anime is fairly similar except they left out a lot of important things that would have made a very emotional show. So, if you have the time, read the manga first

Once you finish it, it's hard to read it again, because you know what's going to happen. Not like our American Rick Riordan books, being able to read it over and over again. I've had the same experience watching Shakugan No Shana.

this anime was purely based on emotions, and it hit right on.

it'd be almost impossible for them to create a season 2, that hits ppl, the same way as this did.

therefore, if they fail to do it, most people wont even bother watching it, which means their effort was for nothing. so the easiest thing to do = dont bother making it.

@Startronica Yeah watch clannad and clannad after story. At first it confused me weather to watch it or not, but it's incredibly FUNNY! The most funniest anime I've ever seen. It's a really good love story and even sad. Very SAD! I've never cried so hard. EVER! Watching it wasn't just an anime that I've watched. It was an experience! After I watched Susuka, I thought it was the best, then a friend recommended clannad. I can't stress enough about this. If you liked Susuka. You'll love CLANNAD!!
