there is picking involved in this song so it would be really complicated for him to give you a strumming pattern, especially since the pattern changes throughout the song. it's one of those songs that you just have to get used to playing

Some people cannot sing and or do not feel comfortable enough to sing on camera. I also know a few musicians that can sing very well and play the guitar very well, but they cannot do both at the same time worth shit. People will make videos of what they are confident and comfortable playing.
