Listening to the studio version almost feels flat and uninspiring almost UN-Whtiney compared to THIS...LIVE Whitney breathes life to this song...the raw emotion can be felt by a statue...the different colours of her voice from soft to aggressive ..have mercy this is a vocal orgasm. *Pushes Play* again

It is quite miraculous that someone can have such a perfect voice with such a strong vocal which stays throughout the song, without a single failure or fault inclination. Whitney! you never stop surprising us with what you can do with your voice without any effort. It is certainly a shame that we don´t have you any more in the limelight. And sense of loss is greatest when we see other singers showing their butts because it´s lack of talent

Haha.. where have you been in the last 20 years.. you didn't realise she could sing like that ? I stumbled across another comment the other day sayin 'I really didn't know she was this good'. She is renowned as the greatest female singer ever.. It's like not knowing Hendrix for his guitar playing. Maybe you had only come in contact with her in the last year for her comeback.Anyway, I'm glad you now know lol. She really is the greatest- no compromise!!

She sweated her ass out on that stage, and by looking at her you would expect her to slip on her vocals, but she was focused and sang this song as if it were her last. I want this Whitney back.

@caduteacher- this performance is from the 1996 MTV Movie Awards. Both MTV and VH1 later used this live performance in their regular video rotation, since no official Music Video was made for the song.

to me this the best performance she has ever done, may be because of the situation i was in at the time or it may have been the way the gal just straight SANG!!!! Lots of people can sing, perform and entertain but this woman set the stage for anyone selling quality music ...all these lil gals need to give credit where credit is due.

I am truly one of the biggest fans of Ms Houston, and I must say that this performance is one of the most "entertaining" of all time. The vocals are there (and everywhere else) no doubt. I especially love the ending with the mic lift.I think that's the moment she realizes where she is. The crack sweat is just cherry. Is she wearing latex?
