  • @1:12,

That's not a bad idea actually. The schools already officially implement it. If you walk into a 3rd grade classroom, you'll see 'job' charts and it will be different kids' turn to clean the classroom. Obviously, the kids don't do a good job and don't try very hard, but if they got paid, I think it could work.

  • Well, the students in Japan clean the schools, but not just the poor children. It's a team effort. However, he seems to propose it only for the poor communities and just to cut the union.

  • Yeah, in an ideal society where all human beings are considered human (even PRIOR to the age of 18) this may be great. To prohibit kids from working is taking away their choice, but we do that by forcing them to attend school whether they want to be educated or not. Abolishing child-labor laws could only be any kind of help if the child also got to decide how much of their pay went in to their parents' expenses, and there would have to be laws prohibiting parents from forcing kids to work.

  • I pose another question: are the republicans just trying to see how far they can go before the people start saying "wooooah, no fucking way man, too far" are they even trying to win this election? are they just trying to see how dedicated their support is? what in 7 different types of quick-drying cement are they thinking here? scary thing is, these are serious candidates. That is scary america! are these isiots trolling us, is the republican campaign slogan for 2012 gonna be trolololololol?

  • I pose a question: is the strength of a democracy signified by the candidates, or by the voters?

  • I don't like the idea of taking jobs away from adults who need to support families, but I have no problem with kids learning to work. One of the biggest problems in America is that our workforce doesn't give a crap about their jobs. I see young people just not bothering to show up for work & slacking off when they are there, not to mention old people who are just fed up & don't care anymore. Newt is insane though. Kids need paper routes or office work, not janitorial work cleaning up shit.

  • Gingrich is one of worst politicians ever, no sence for humantity or no sense for behaviour at all..

He should be thrown in a septic tank, for good...who he belongs, .the rest of his family as well, disgusting bunch of sick shitheads...!!

  • Cenk, you just made it onto BBC's Panorama about poverty in the US.

  • To conclude: Yes, Turkeltonz. Child labor IS great! A lifelong work ethic IS GREAT!!!

So don't let Newt distract you just because he is trying to recruit for school "sanitation". That's all he's doing. The kids he wants will still be working, but where they *should* be working: at home for their parents and for family friends. Leave the shitty public school jobs to the desperate who need a leg up. We'll soon be over with this old school system anyway.

  • People express outrage at "kids working" and then reference children who coal mine. Man, that work isn't fit for *anyone*.

But what do those who like the child labor laws do with their kids? Is every day like the Hebrew freaking Sabbath for minors where none lift a finger?

Hopefully the little muffins do a little something. The public school system is one of the worst hiring bodies out there, though. Thanks for that one, Uncle Sam, ya fuck.

  • One should be allowed to work at any age.

Kids who are learning "reading and math" etc need time to do other things too. A well rounded person works their whole life because they like it.

In Gingrich's pea-brained visions, these working kids use their abilities to maintenance our brainwashy public schools. Keep dreaming, brah. Those of us who have worked since childhood worked for summer camps and giving PRIVATE lessons and taking PRIVATE commissioned jobs. And loving it. So eat it.

  • @SaveTheWheat

you are a real sick bastard !!

You had a shitty childhood and wishes that shit for any kid...go fuck yourself...kids dont deserve it, and surely dont need it...so,..eye is watching you from now on....:)

  • The mentally disabled kids at my high school actually did do janitor work under an adult janitor. I shit you not. And they weren't even paid for it.

  • @werebee

only possible in the US,,,the land of the free, right..;)

  • @liveecarbme

No, they don't get graded. They have a roster and they all take turns (including the rich kids) to mob the classroom or empty the wastebaskets. It doesn't replace music, art or science... but it does replace recess.

I see no real problem with it. Kids should learn to take care of their surroundings.

That being said, I'm not defending the "Newt position".

  • @WatchThemWatchYou

I have worked in schools in other countries.

  • RON PAUL 2012

  • Someone should put Gingrich out of his mysery, seriously, he is a sick bastard of the worst kind!!!!

  • I wish Newt would run for prez of the United Moon Colonies of America

  • Gingrich has also attended Bohemian Grove where he rubbed elbows with occultists and male prostitutes. Why are these scumbags at the Top .

  • The Gingrich Presidency is a return of the Jewish neocon regime of the Bush Days BACK in the White House. This scumbag has promised his zionist Jews more bloodshed.

  • The american elections are just about winning people on your side by daring populistic ideas. There is no rational discussion about actual important policies in the US. The US is srewed. The kids in Oakland ar right!

  • Newt?!! Fucking Newt?!! What kind of a major league shithead has Newt for a name?

  • YANKEE FREEDOM? NAZI CUNT.. If you idiots elect this corrupt SHIT. Your CUNTry is history. After Reagan, Bush, how dare you subject this half wit on the world. Do it and condemn yourselves to history. The U.S.A. is a CUNTry of the past. Wave your flags and wank into the faces of your British founding fathers. BRING IT ON YANKEE SHITS, THE PEOPLE THAT COMMITTED THE BIGGEST GENOCIDE IN HISTORY, DROPPED THE ONLY NUCLEA BOMBS ON PEOPLE AND WORSHIP AN UNELECTED GOD. SCUM OF THE SCUM.

  • Way to go Newt! Let the poor children take turns to choke in dust everyday after school is exactly how they do it in China, straight from first day in elementary school.

  • horrifying

  • To be fair, I think Newt's idea is that by allowing young children to work, the income of the poor family is increased, alleviating their poverty somewhat. However, I think this is one of the worst ways to approach this problem, as it may create a poverty trap. The FIRST thing the government should do is abolish tax on the poor.

  • @fermista you have a great mind

  • the poorest receive net tax $, cant cut their contributions as they are at nil already; however, I believe targeted tax funded benevolence along the lines of collegiate education for those willing to avoid childbearing could be a great incentive. Halting ones education to raise kiddos nails the roof, income wise, over many people's heads...and sadly, some welfare recipients (i hesitate to say many) encourage their kids to procreate and cash in on similar benefits (that amount to slave chains).

  • All the people who are agreeing are saying crap like 'well I had a paper round when was 12 and Ive done alright' are missing the point. That's all nice but what this guy wants is to get little children to do hard labour. If they spend all their time working a shit job from a young age, with little focus education they won't go very in life. I only need to look at my grand parents to see proof of that.

  • Unreal! Check out NewtTheTruth d o t com for his real record!

  • Look at those clips Cenk puts up.

I can't believe this Republican twat has a Phd in history?!!!??

Both him and Bush make me feel like an idiot for my studies, God.

  • I had my first job at ten, because i wanted to make extra cash. At twelve i used some of my saved pocket change to buy a used push mower to make cash around the neighborhood. I saved up and bought my first car at 16. I am 32 and own 2 successful businesses that employ 16 people. I am ultimately responsible for my own income that i have created. Guess what? I OWN THE JOB! On a HS Education. Newt is attempting to explain nicely that children have no work ethic or sense of responsibility!

  • so the system is corrupt. WHAT THE FUCK YOU GONNA DO ABOUT IT. AMERICA VOTE. EVIL VS GOOD.

  • He's an out-and-out racist who wants to be a fucking base built on the moon! Why is he still running! D:

  • I think he might have been born in the 1800's is why.

  • I had a paper run when I was 12. Was great. Delivered milk when I was 16.

  • @Wanda7771 yeah, but in my experience give some kid a degrading job and that's where they stay. give them a good job that builds confidence and they will grow

  • would never vote for him as president b/c 1/2 of his ideas are great, but the other half ( like this one) are just stupid

  • is newt gingrich an idiot?? or what? well..shit

  • "I think you can write a psychological profile of me that says I found a way to immerse my insecurities in a cause large enough to justify whatever I wanted it to." - Newt, speaking to Gail Sheehy.

  • Remember when the Turks killed hundreds of thousands of children ... You are a liar, a cheat and a fraud .. Typical liberal tactics, twist the facts to suit your demented logic. probably the same thought paradigm the Turks used to justify genocide!!!

  • Audio wtf?

  • any1 who supports newt is a fucking idiot. Ron Paul 2012

  • Newt is right. The work ethic has all but disappeared in this country. The work ethic is something that kids need to learn just as much as math and reading.Otherwise these spoiled brats think the world owes them a living

  • Boy you're an idiot!!!!

  • you suck at reporting and this is why you'll stay on youtube

  • You dumbass young turk, what Newt wants to do is change the laws to allow poor or rich kids work to LEARN WORK ETHICS, you fucking idiot. He's not asking them to work 40 -50 hours a week, duh, we need to lower the work age in America, the kids will learn what respect is all about, PLUS, there will be less obesity, and kids will STAY OUT OF TROUBLE. THINK ABOUT< USE THAT BIG HEAD OF YOUS< YOU LIBERAL MOTHER FUCKER< AMERICA"S LEANING LIBERAL FOR TOO MANY YEARS< AND THE LIBERAL WAY IS NOT WORKING

  • @22bailee It is the same as allowing underaged children to work just a few hours in a "sweat shop."

  • @22bailee Actually, we need to start working through the education system for them to understand work ethics.Obviously chores and cleaning are part of responsibility which every kid should understand, regardless of how there parents influence there kids.We don't to lower the work age, what those kids need is to stay in school and learn until there fully ready. But I also cant deny that children are getting more obese, lazy, and senseless by the year. That's why our education system needs reform.

  • @22bailee I mean the last thing a teen wants to go to work after school.Taking away there young life and fun. They should be taught work ethics in school.

  • I grew up working on local farms as a "migrant worker". (I'm white, Dutch, a girl -- and I lived on a farm -- and other people had farms of different crops with different harvest seasons -- and greenhouses. I picked strawberries, tomatoes, pickles, also we harvested apples.) I just LOVED being a migrant worker. :) Child labor laws wouldn't have let me. But, we ignored them, and I earned money and bought my own school clothes. Worked on our farm as a very young child.

  • The Young Turks are so incredibly stupid it just baffles me. They make Glenn Beck look like a Yale graduate

  • He is saying that it would give kids a chance to make some extra money, learn a work ethic, and be around teachers, etc.

have three teenagers and they all wish they could work and they are 11, 12, 13- all doing well in school. it they could, i would let them

    coal mines.... imaginative mind

  • @truthtify321 exactly! and theyre acting like this is some sort of fascism, its not stopping them from doing their homework, because they dont have to work if they dont want to, its OPTIONAL. they're demonizing it without considering the fact that its basically an extracurricular activity.

  • WHAT A TWIST

YOUNG TURKEYS NEED TO FLY AWAY...

  • @sXeCanadianBoy

Rick Perry? Really? Ron Paul 2012, if you'd please.

  • Strange that no one even mentions the Neighborhood Youth Corp government that for years work in the schools and allowed the students to work in the schools and the government then paid them for their work. No one thought that the program was stupid or misuse of child labor laws. So tiring to hear those on the left to be so stupid!!!

  • I am saddened by the fact that someone like Newt Gingrich is even taken seriously as a politician. I have to say I may consider Canada if this clown is elected.

  • @erlmrl Canada isn't that good either.

  • @erlmrl Thats why the only logical choice is Ron Paul! Your voting one in the same if you vote for Romney, Newt, or Obama. your also voting for more war and governmental overspending! How about we go back to our constitution and figure out the best way to get ourselves out of this mess we sure as heck can't afford another war!!!! We're 14,000,000,000,000 Dollars in the hole people... thats trillions for those who didn't know. RON PAUL 2012 to restore America!!

  • Comment removed

  • @erlmrl is it jsut me or are most wold politicians morons - bring back roosevelt, churchill, kennedy. hell i would even take fucking thatcher even if she was a bitch who went mad with power.

  • cenk in space!!!!!

  • wait, what's wrong with ALLOWING someone to work?

oh yeah, it's actually not that radical. in fact it kinda makes sense if your family is very poor.

  • economic social pressure in school is already terrible on kids. imagine how humiliating it would be if a student who was wealthy enough to not take the job saw a kid who was forced to be employed like that because of his family's poverty. sometimes its hard to believe half the republican candidates are human beings. they act more like monsters

  • @angerycamel2 Well I hate Newt, but I also hate that he is claiming ownership of 'child labor". I'm progressive but this is one issue that does need to be explored. In my experience young and older teens (NOT CHILDREN) enjoy many types of jobs that older people do not AND they enjoy receiving pay for it.Its a good outlet for their boundless energies. The big problem though is that there are less and less summer jobs to go around in this economy and that is a recipe for trouble.

  • Im not real sure on this.. But didnt Hitler try to institute the same thing?? "Hitler Youth" Im just saying.

  • @orphanmonkey1 hitler youth was like what the boyscouts was in the US for a while. during the war it became required i dont think its the same but its an interesting comparison

  • so let me get this straight, lets take away salaries from janitors who support their families, so the school can pay pocket change to all their students. the students in turn give that pocket change to their parents or spend it on candy and video games. insane...

  • @simplyReed Yep that's neo-liberalism at it's best. Gimme those profits little boy!!!

  • @simplyReed Not just students, as he stated, the poor kids =P

  • Newt is a genius. The kids can take the janitors jobs, spend their money on junk food at the vending machines outside of class. The money goes to businesses like Coca Cola where they have their own child laborers, who took many USA jobs because of incentives for Corps to ship production overseas to nations with few labor regulations, in places like India. The main profits go back to the top of the pyramid. Profits over people ever time. Neutered Grinch: middle class, kids and minorities=slaves.

  • I was bagging groceries when I was 12 years old. It taught me the value of hard work. And the idea that students would have to clean up after themselves and keep their learning environment clean. I know, crazy right.

  • Newt and the slimeball elites won't be happy until slavery is reinstated and child labor laws are eliminated.

This country is going so far off the rails and returning to the Royal Monarchy that caused the the Revolutionary War. Newt, FOX, the GOP/DNC, are hell-bent in eliminating all our hard won rights and civil liberties. These loathesome white supremacist shitheads truly believe they are BETTER then EVERYONE - and they use their amoral "christianity" & "patriotism" as marketing tools.

  • NWO Gingrich

  • Yes, there should be a cut-off point.

i would say that if the parents are making over $45,000, then their kids shouldnt be scrubbing other people's shit out of the toilets.

  • echo (echo [echo])

  • Liberal ignorance of poverty is a price poor kids pay for rich liberal kid's silver spoon childhood. I started working small jobs when I was 11, and it paid for school lunches and other activities I would not have otherwise been able to afford, being poor. And that's wrong?

Newt is speaking to the recognition that children commit crime only as a means to an end, namely money. Today kids cannot even deliver the newspaper, let alone make real money.

Newt's right; it's stupid and wrong.

  • @snappydoodad so if you went through this wouldnt you prefer to help that child with a better education and funding instead of them going through what you went through? also i have family that had that same concept, work while your young, half of them didnt make it passed high school and almsot none went to college. its a fucking stupid idea to have no child labor laws.

  • @Politicalfishtv your comment is disingenuous. Either it was a concept in your family, or poverty was real. If poverty was real, that's the reason half of your siblings didn't finish high school. That's a hard fact of being the poorest demographic. Yet you want to deny the opportunity to the other half that did make it? If it was a concept, your parents were simply irresponsible.

Nobody, wants to repeal all child labor laws - that's just spin doctoring. We want sane laws, and opportunities.

  • @Politicalfishtv I just wanted to add that Work Study Programs (as they're commonly called) are pushed by our current administration around the world in third world countries, because they work for the poorest of people, and help break multi-generational poverty.

Child Labor Law reform (what Newt is addressing) is bipartisan, with support from moderates on both sides of the house. It's a recognition that we need to create more opportunities for the poorest of families - including financial.

  • This first children that should be put to work are Gingrich's own direct relatives.

  • @maraposah with all that said i have no problem discussing my viewpoint. Can it change? Yes. But don't resort to name calling just have a discussion or debate or whatever. I'd welcome it. There aren't many kids in my school who even watch the news. So a break from hearing about something other then the kardasian divorce (or whatever is big now) would be great. Either way have a good day if you have anything else to say to me don't forget the @BritannyWasHere.

  • @maraposah And there would be a lot of faults with the idea and that's fine because in this country something like this wouldn't get done with strict child labor laws. I'm i saying all that should change? No. I'm saying there are more than one way of thinking and i didn't like how this news story was handled. I personally felt he should have bashed less. And i will say waiting until 14 years of age to work was the most annoying thing i ever had to do.

  • @maraposahIs there some sense in kids (of appropriate age) taking part in the maintaining of their everyday learning environment? yes there is. But it shouldn't be a job. Overall it's an idea that was posed that instead of saying " Oh a republican said it i shouldn't consider giving it some thought", i thought it over and somewhat agreed on the princible of kids taking an active role in the cleanliness of their school.

  • @Britannywashere Give it up, the elitist rich liberal kids don't even have to clean their own homes, they have no concept of needing money for school activities (or even lunches) because they never experienced it as children.

The silver spoon on a spoiled rich childhood creates a bubble of ignorance to multi-generational poverty. They simply can't understand it.

Work study programs in other countries work, and help families get income too; there is no reason they wouldn't work here.

  • @maraposah As for you calling me an elitist pig, i'll let you know that i'm not. However you are allowed to overreact without having a normal discussion with me. All cards on the table, i'm a democrat and the only republican i'd ever vote for is Ron Paul. But do i see anything wrong with kids (of appropriate age) doing some work around their school? No i don't. Do i believe only poor kids should be responsible to do this work? No i don't.

  • @maraposah My mother works hard and what she has accomplished as a single mother is more than enough for me. Being rich doesn't make you better than anyone else and i don't think like that. I'm pretty sure that's were the misunderstanding came from. You must have some sort of insecurity with your income status were you think way too much of the devide. We're in the USA poor here doesn't compare to poor in other countries, trust me i've seen and lived it.

  • @maraposah There is also the age problem as to when is too young? And with kids being fathers and mothers at age of 13 (i know a few personally) they should be able to clean after themself. At no point in time did i say poor kids are the only ones who should be responsible because i am a "poor kid" and proud.

  • @maraposah That lazy and destructive mentally that teens have nowadays is ridiculous. And it's not a perfect idea but he's touching on something. Not that kids should be put to work but that kids need to be responsible for their learning environment. In a way that it can be kept clean and maintained. Leaving your mess for someone else to clean just causes teens to care less about how they act.

  • @maraposah Well i go to a public school in NYC. And idk where you're from but these schools are dirty. I'm not okay with kids being put to clean bathrooms for money. However they should already be held accountable for the unecessary messes they make. I've walked into the girl's bathroom and found pads lying on the floor. Why? because "it's not their problem", it's a janitor's problem.

  • I actually agree with him. Especially in high schools put kids to work and the school would be cleaner. mainly because they are the ones being inconsiderate and leaving a mess. In schools on the Eastern Hemisphere countries like Japan have kids clean up. It's not necessary about it being child labor but about knowing not to leave a mess for others to clean. A 12 year old should be able to clean a classroom without it being called child labor. Though i do understand not having them in mines.

  • @Britannywashere Having ONLY poor child clean a school and getting rid of union janitors is class warfare against the poor. Now in other countries the students do not leave the homeroom to go to a different class. After school two students are picked, not based upon income mind you, to tidy up the homeroom but we did not clean the bathroom etc And clubs cleaned up after themselves. That happened in highschool and not in gradeschool. Having a 6 yr old clean a toilet is appalling

  • @Britannywashere BTW it was NEVER done for money it was part of our ethics class which was mandatory. the work was circulated equally among the students, rich, poor or alien. And it was never the same person twice a week. Having poor kids clean shit for the rich kids is disgusting you elitist pig!

  • Yeah, right, we should continue doing what we've been doing with children....just hand them everything to the point that they have NO CLUE of what it's really like in the real world. They grow up and expect the government to continue the handouts, cuz they know nothing about holding a job. They actually think "work ethic" is a foreign word....they have no clue. But that's exactly the way the dems want them to think..."I'll give you ghetto survival bucks in exchange for your vote." So sick!!

  • Kids doing chores, my God!!!!! If you allow a child to do something called work, it is the same as hard labor in coal mines. I know a child once who made a buck a day for striking chalk board erasers against the hard, cold, brick facade of the grade school. Oh the very horror of it. Newt didn't say children should be forced to work, but have a chance to, but not to include coal mines I believe. Work of any kind is something unseen by 47% of inner city black youths age 16-18 under Obama.

  • @jeanvaljeanathon First off I have to agree with Newt here, but this is why Newt will not be elected and will not get anything done. THIS IS NOT AN ISSUE IN THIS ELECTION!!! damn Newt!! why would you start talking about something that is not important right now? get to the core issues that have to be fixed first! change monetary policy, end the wars, get rid of govt. depts. reign in the FED, cut 1 trillion in spending your first year, then talk about this!! RON PAUL 2012!

  • Does any one take this pompus Ass Hole serious? Opens his fat trap and out comes more of his Crap! The republican's really deserve this Crazy Bastard!!

  • @thetruth9900 You make a very educated assessment......yes....Oh......right.....I should ask you.......ya, know what...hold on......does anyone take this Uneducated, Illiterate, Ass Hole ("thetruth9900") seriously?..........you Libs deserve to have your Ghetto Leader back. ................stupid Bastard!!..........

Do you know how much you sound like a Jack Ass? ....uh oh....wait a minute.....Jack Ass../..Democrat...?.....oh, you're just being who you are. I get it.

  • @eatmelibs Why not send your kid out too clean out the schools shit houses! You ignorant Bastard! Wake up Stupid!!

  • @thetruth9900 LMAO!! What a Douche. .....and so Easy to Tweak.......LMAO... Later, Sponge. Oh, by the way, if your parents taught you "any" work ethic, maybe you wouldn't be a 40 yr. old, single man (boy) still living in his parents basement. Thanks, you've been a usefull foil.

  • @eatmelibs Oh,

Did I say something too offend you? Iam so sorry what can I say too make it up too you? Oh I know, Go Fuck your self Right wing nut Bag!

  • Comment removed

  • some of these republicans have no souls.they back anyone who can protect their money no matter how mad they are.

  • I guess he has Ron Paul on his side here.

  • @llothar68 I am a hard core Paul supporter and I must say I agree with Newts POINT! learn the value of work if kids want to work, although as I said in a post above it's not an issue!! why bring something like this up now? Talk about the real problems already!!

  • Too much ECHO!!!!! Man that sucks. Fire the audio dude.

  • In Japan the kids clean up the school for free, mandatory. And I guess it reflects in their horrible test scores, right?

  • Yes, folks... this is coming from the same mind that proposed giving laptop computers to the homeless back in the '90s. However, what should really be considered is that Gingrich's bachelor, masters and doctorate degrees (bachelor & masters at Emory University, PhD at Tulane) are all in history, and he's written several books of historical fiction - all dealing with war. This man is fascinated by conflict, and will likely start one if elected. In his mind, kids will be mining coal during war.

  • @stone1andonly are you against newt or for him? im really confused, i think it would be great to give poor people laptops as opposed to a welfare check and i didnt even know that he proposed that, theyd be a step closer to going to school online. youre stretching it with your historical fiction comment, are all fiction writers obsessive narcissists now? i once wrote a fictional story about myself being in the vietnam war, and im thinking about running for mayor! watch out!

  • Yea, giving kids the opportunity to take care of their school is a horrible idea. They might actually learn to appreciate it! Another colossal fail from TheYoungTurks.

  • gingrich is scum

  • What do you expect from a guy who cheated on his cancer patient wife?

  • BAD LIGHTING! YOU LOOK EXTRA OLD HERE, and the voice is echoing

  • gawd they stole the nomination from ron paul last election so mccain could lose horribly. now that everyone dislikes obama when they give it to gingrich, he'll probably win. watch the jon stewart clip where he talks about how much the media rejects covering any of ron paul's victories. we are being dictated who our leaders will be. this is no longer our country. welcome to the illusion of choice.

  • Kids definitely shouldn't be working in coal mines or with machinery that could take off a finger or 2, but teaching kids about work ethic is a good thing. When I was a kid I spent a summer helping work on my relative's farm and learned a lot about work ethic. Gingrich is generally wrong most of the time, but kids should be allowed to work a little during vacation time instead of rotting their brains away with video games and T.V.

  • The GOP POLICIES=1911 not 2011

  • Seriously!? How can anyone support this guy? His views and comments regarding child labor should be enough to stop people from voting for him. If not, look at his record, his morality, his lies and grandstanding, his taking money from Frannie & Freddie while blasting those who did the same thing. Forget the debates folks, start doing your own research into the Republican candidates. They are all a very scary bunch of people and none of them are fit to be President.

  • @happy1141 ... You're right, but you have to remember that the Republicanm Party is a Party of evil and intolerance. They are every bit as bad as the Nazi's and stand for evil. I am convinced that at some point the Republicans are going to bring about a thermonuclear war on America. This Party is that over the cliff, that far gone. They are the Nazi's of today and it is only a matter of time that they bring about the destruction of America. Since he is in an evil Party then, Gingrich fits.

  • @TheTruthNow000 I completely agree with your assessment of Republicans and their current rhetoric. It amazes me that so many people don't see it. There will always be evil people, but the fact that so many people don't realize this and actually support Republicans scares me even more. I don't always agree with everything that Democrats do but the Republican party is just evil, insane and incompetent all the way around.

  • @happy1141 ... Fear not. Most of the reaction coming from the Right on Obama is just flat out racist. They are loud and rude, reeling from having a Black President (actually bi-racial). But the Independents will decide the election, and they will not support dummies like Herman Cain and Rick Perry, or whackos like Michelle Bachmann and Ron Paul, nor a hypocritical egomanic like Newt Gingrich. Only Romney has a chance, and when he's in he will cut deals with the Democrats. We'll be okay.

  • @TheTruthNow000 people dont like obama because they're rascist? thats just stupid. he's a lying puppet, thats why we dont like him, he promised government transparency and an end to these retarded wars, he gets the nobel peace prize and then goes to war in libya without letting congress declare war, have u seen how badly we've ruined that country? the amount of drone strikes has multiplied about 10 times since obama from bush, i dislike both of them, anyone who knows their facts would saythesame

  • @TheTruthNow000 he promised no lobbyists in his cabinet and then literally a week or two later declares a raytheon ceo as secretary of defense. rascism? no. incompetence and dislike for america? yes. and ron paul is not for the elite, if he were they'd be happy to put him on the screen, he wants to end the fed, the central bank that jefferson warned us would leave us broke on the land our forefathers conquered and look whats happened. answer that, if he is such an elitsts (the dumbest thing ive

  • @TheTruthNow000 ever heard btw) then the media would be all over this guy, instead they avoid him like the plague, he has voted with his consciousness and the constitution about every chance he has ever got. you really need to do some research dude, ever since jfk was killed they've all been puppets. trust them at ur own peril. must be nice to just ignore the facts and live in bliss under the light of ur saviour obama. i voted for cynthia mckinney btw, a black women last election.

  • @TheTruthNow000 if u really want the truth, something i can tell u know scarcely little about, look up these two videos "jfk- the president who told the truth" and "secret evil of 911" (30 minutes altogether), also geraldo riveras interview with ae911truth, then watch "martial law 911 rise of the police state" and "dark secrets: inside bohemian grove" and visit the site infowars com for real news. im not joking, the elite want most of us dead. ever heard of the georgia guidestones?

  • @TheTruthNow000 One thing that does give me hope...people like you. People that can think for themselves. Intelligent and critical thinkers that can see beyond the rhetoric and ignorance. People like you that can see "TheTruth". Also, the youth of this country give me hope. I see so many people of my generation that have become complacent, compromised their ideals and have given up hope for something better. I hope young people never lose their expectations and ideals for a better future.

  • @happy1141 ... Thanks Happy. People like you give me hope too. This is a serious world and we need people to think and be rational. The Far Right is too much, and I believe that their ideology will eventually take this country into a thermonuclear war if we let them take the reins, and we can't do that. They live is an alternate reality, but this "us versus them" view of the world, and a bias against facts and reality is not sustainable, and I believe we must push against it. Thanks.

  • those kids look so tough

  • Is there an echo in here or is it just bad acoustics?

  • We are close the actual voting in the Republican caucuses and primaries. Folks have a choice of the following: Two morons ... Herman Cain and Rick Perry; Two whackos ... Michelle Bachmann and Ron Paul; One ego-maniac ... Newt Gingrich; One pure Fascist ... Rick Santorum; One pussy ... John Huntsman; and one flip flopper who is the only candidate who polls well against Obama ... Mitt Romney. It will be interesting to see who Republican voters choose.

  • @TheTruthNow000 Well said! You hit it right on the head. Good comment.

  • @TheTruthNow000 calling ron paul a whacko? based on what knowledge? r u trying to sound intelligent like u actually understand politics? he knows his shit. have u seen him grilling bernanke about finances? he says we ought to end the useless unconstitutional war on drugs and that we should stop attacking sovereign nations who have no beef with us whatsoever.

heres the difference between the republican candidates, ron paul has voted with his consciousness and the constitution everytime.

  • @TheTruthNow000 that is where his loyalty stands, the rest are mostly puppets to the elite who run this country.

look up the jon stewart form the daily show covering how much the mainstream media ignores ron paul and how he gets no coverage and air time and gets joked about all the time. most of us americans are pussies too weak to stand up to our big business owners and declare what type of leader we actually want to have.

im no huge daily show fan but jon stewart captured it perfectly.

  • @shamanik1320 ... Ron Paul shouldn't get any coverage. He's a whack job. The media knows that the Presidency is serious and we have a serious world. They don't want to cover somebody who wants to be Calvinb Coolidge and thinks it's 1920. Ron Paul's big idea is that Government shouldn't do a Goddamned thing to help people. Fuck him.

  • @TheTruthNow000 haha ron paul is against the elite, not the people. u're just ignorant and dont have a clue what ure talking about. he doesnt get coverage because he isnt for spending us more into debt and creating more retarded wars and trying to restore our constitution. everything he says makes sense and the last election was stolen from him just like they're trying to steal it from him this time. he has more support from military personnel than any other candidate. try learning something.

  • @shamanik1320 I love Ron Paul wants to get rid of the Energy Department. In country with nuclear power that should end well. Let the free market decide the size of the mushroom cloud we will be living under.

Ron Paul is the perfect candidate for America. Duh deregulation just caused global economic collapse, dah lets deregulate more hurr durr AMERIKA rocks.

  • @SuperBenzid derr ill just simplify someones entire platform their running on and stretch what they say and give my opinion on what would happen if we did it. r u seriously saying these other bought and paid for stooges are better than ron paul? not to mention this has nothing to do with the fact that the last election was stolen from him when the american public clearly said we wanted his leadership. ron paul wants to cut a lot of useless spending, i doubt this means he wants mushroom clouds,

  • @SuperBenzid but whatever yuck it up and vote for ur favorite elitist stooge who wants to let the corrupt continue running all over america. ron paul wants to end the federal reserve, a private central bank that has been the cause of the value being drained from our money since its inception. a private entity that is not transparent is about as much deregulation as u can have so u have ur info a little twisted there. even thomas jefferson warned us about what ron paul is trying todefeatrightnow.

  • @shamanik1320 ... HaHaHa back at you. Ron Paul is totally for the Elite ... the Corporate elite. His view is that business should be able to do anything, and the private sector should have no restraints what-so-ever. That's support for the corporate elite. Oh he didn't want the bank bailouts for sure, and preferred to see the economy collapse instead, but this old fool's view that corporatists know best is as elitist as it comes. Anyway, the old fool will never be President so it doesn't mater.

  • Gingrich was born in the wrong century.

  • Brian died here......sounds like a "brilliant idea" ?

  • A Only a Liberal would see offering a kid some work as child labor abuse.

better hope this guy does not debate Obama. Obama will be torn to shreds.

  • @niltomega as usual right wingers make a straw man argument. Obviously you have not seen this video or you would not be ignorant of the difference.

I bet you have no clue why child labor laws came about in the 1st place.

  • I love Cenk, I really do 'lolz'. But I kinda agree with what the guy said. . . if you put those kids to work 'crappy' jobs. . . . They will know what a crappy job is like. . . which would in turn push them to educate themselves so they wont end up doing that for the rest of their lives.

Ofcourse, it should not be ALOT of hours. . . Not even 20hrs a week. . . . maybe 5-10 or something like that for a month or 2. . .. XD

Believe me, after my first crappy job. . . sure as hell motivated me.

  • This vido, is one of THE stupidest thing ive ever heard! What Newt is saying is we need to build a work ethic for the children! nothing wrong with honest work ya idiot. This is coming from a 15 year old.

P.S. Newt is the most Pro-education candidate out their, so why are you saying that hes gonna make them work, not learn?

  • @MADDOG20311 Yes, we all know newt is wonderful. From all the cheating affairs he had to his $500k debt he owes to Tiffany, we know he's both honest and fiscal.

  • @MADDOG20311 those under 18 can already get work and learn a good work ethic if they so desire. there's nothing stopping them.

  • Wow, that Newt guy is a real slimey lizard

  • Yeah, add a few dozen million kids to the work force at a time of huge unemployment, that's a great idea.
