Each individual Aussie may have different exercise needs. My Aussie needed one long, fast-paced walk per day (speed-walking for 45-60 mins with off-leash play halfway through) plus numerous play sessions (both in the house and in the yard).

Aussies need lots of exercise and mental stimulation. They can become destructive if their needs are not met. A good rule of thumb is: if your Aussie is well behaved and tired at the end of the day s/he got enough exercise. :]

we have a new aussie , he's been with us 5 weeks now and completely stolen our hearts! His name is Comet he's 13 weeks old today. Our only problem ishe gets car sick every single time in the car! Yes, I think an Aussie can do fine in an apartment as long as you are dedicated to getting him/her outside daily to exercise. Remember: a bored Aussie is a destructive Aussie. Exercise daily, make sure s/he has plenty of toys, and do some obedience training. (They are very smart and you can build a strong bond while training.)

Well, you'll be alright if you take VERY long walks during the day, but BE CONSISTENT, or else it will destroy your house. But I'd consider a miniature aussie instead of a standard.

They're great dogs. Probably the most loyal out there, but they need a LOT of exercise. :D

I have an aussie to. My 1st Aussie I love them. They are great companions. The smartest dog I have ever owned. Only takes upto 2 minutes to learn anything. Great temperment. Would recommend an aussie to anyone looking for a pet.

Yep, my Jack is scared of trash cans, fire hydrants, towels, the cat, the bathtub (rightfully!)... most of all PEOPLE. Yet, the more you expose them to these harmless elements in a safe way, the more comfortable and confident they'll be around them.
