I don't understand French, however, the point of rap is to create a verbal flow. Spoken french is beautiful but it's very harsh and awkward when you're trying to rap in the language because it doesn't lend itself well to a beat. I have to agree with everyone who said that the rapping sucks from a pure artistic standpoint regardless of how deep the lyrics themselves are.

The instrumental, however, is brilliant.

@tntautomotive please don't generalize, I'm french and I agree that their flow is not conventional, but that doesn't apply to all french rappers. Although there is an increasing amount of shit produced in french rap nowadays (just like in the US i guess) there are some excellent tracks out there. Besides you can't say KRS One for example doesn't sound harsh, although he does have his own flow style. May I suggest Mc Solaar's old stuff (tracks like Dakota, Les Temps Changent...)

I agree for most of french rapperrs. But listen to MC Solaar who is to me the best french rapper ever, and even more than that, he is a poet, and with him, trust me, it's not harsh at all and it lend itself very well =)

@tntautomotive I'm French and speak it fluently. I think spoken French isn't very aesthetic or beautiful, but that its main charm is the ease with which it's spoken. The thing is, this group can't rap. XD I've heard good raps, like "J'emmerde le front national" and stuff like that. Try other French raps, this one just isn't the best.
