Any old Mastodon fans notice the comments are very dare I say it mainstremish...("grammy", "single" ) not saying it to be cool or anything. Its just its not as brutal and fantasy oriented as it used to be, I haven't seen a single nerd festival on any of the videos. I have all their albums (besides this one) and waited in line on opening day for them. I have a freaking mastodon sleeve with Paul Romanos artwork.....Yet I haven't even listened to this one all the way through :-( Am I getting old..?

@ghoawaynetcabo Nothing silly about it. It happens all the time. Just look at Nevermore's last album. Peter Wichers is at least half responsible for how shitty that is. After listening to the other tracks on this Mastodon album I'm in doubt though, probably no producer who got his hands on this.

@Incisionator Yeah, it's just the way they've gone since Blood Mountain. Especially since Bran (the drumer) started up vocals, they do alot of wierd harmonies. Alot less screaming. They've just evolved their sound is all, it's happened quite steadily if you listen to their discography. They still sound fucking awesome though!
